What Is Hallmark’s Gingerbread Miracle About?
According to the Hallmark synopsis, Maya (Patterson) is a freelance attorney. However, after a minor setback, she has been living in the apartment above her parents’ garage. Her office? The Casillas Panadería is where she has been working on her freelance law for the past couple of years. She is still figuring things out.
However, the Mexican bakery has held a warm spot in her heart ever since she worked there as a teenager. That is, alongside her high school crush, Alejandro “Alex” Casillas (Ecker), the handsome nephew of the owner. When Alex’s uncle asks for Maya’s help in selling the bakery, Alex decides to return home to celebrate one last Christmas in the bakery.
Moreover, he is also ready to help Maya find a buyer for the bakery, whether or not she actually wants his help.

Hallmark’s Countdown To Christmas began on Friday, October 22. One of the early Christmas movies to look forward to includes Boyfriends of Christmas Past. This movie is based on the Edie Grace novel. It stars Catherine Haena Kim ( Girlfriends Of Christmas Past), Raymond Ablack (Orphan Black), Paul Sun-Hyung Lee (Kim’s Convenience), and Susan Hanson (A Million Little Things).
Marketing executive Lauren (Kim) has always appreciated her best friend Nate (Ablack). But, he may feel like she doesn’t see his true value. However, her father (Lee) and stepmother (Hanson) adore him. Moreover, he’s always there to support her with gingerbread and hot cocoa – her favorites. She tries to be there for him, too. Well, usually.
After she bails out on him to do an extra work project, she goes home, exhausted. However, her sleep is disturbed. She is visited by her old boyfriend in her apartment. However, he has not aged a day since they dated over a decade ago! He makes her look at their relationship, and why it failed.
But, he is not the only old boyfriend that comes back to haunt her. With each boyfriend’s visit, she realizes that Nate is the only constant. Has she realized too late that he is the one she loves? Boyfriends Of Christmas Past premieres on the Hallmark Channel on Saturday, October 23, at 8 p.m. Eastern.
