‘Below Deck Med’: The Lexi Wilson Fight Got Out Of Control, Here’s Why
The Below Deck Med Season 6 reunion is here. It will reveal all when it comes to the explosive Lexi Wilson fight, which happened earlier on in the season. Eventually, the stew got fired for another fight she had with Chef Mathew Shea. Captain Sandy Yawn had an emergency with the two alongside chief stew Katie Flood.
She didn’t like what she was hearing. As a result, Sandy fired Lexi for her behavior. The reason for her decision is that she needed a yacht chef more than a stew who is causing more problems than needed. During the reunion, Katie revealed that the previous fight was “much worse” than the viewers witnessed.
Bravo producers had to “step in”
The Below Deck Med Season 6 reunion airs tonight on Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen. Last week, TV Shows Ace shared all of the details of the reunion. One of the biggest moments is when Katie admitted that the Lexi Wilson fight was “much worse” than what was shown on television. After a crew night out, Lexi fought with most of her crew members, which got physical at some point.
She went off on a drunken rant, belittling them and their jobs. The argument continued in the crew mess, which caused others to intervene. Even the Bravo producers had to “step in,” according to Katie. She claimed that it was even more dramatic than it looked.
“Production actually stepped in,” Katie Flood told Andy Cohen. “Yeah, because it was getting so out of hand. They actually stepped in and lost their s*** like, ‘This is not what we are about.’ And if it goes any further I’m pretty sure Lexi would have been removed straight away. But I guess she reined it in at that point…”
Bosun Malia White agreed with Katie and admitted that Lexi was “edited nicely that night.” Her behavior was “much worse” than what the fans got to see. However, Below Deck Med fans feel that she should’ve gotten fired for harassing her crew. Unfortunately, that didn’t happen until the latter part of the season.
Where is Lexi Wilson?
The Below Deck Med Season 6 reunion special shows the return of Captain Sandy Yawn, Malia White, Katie Flood, along with stew Courtney Veale and deckhands Lloyd Spencer, David Pascoe, and Mzi Dempers. Even Delaney Evans makes a brief appearance to talk about her experience on the yacht.
The only one who did not attend the virtual reunion is Lexi Wilson. She revealed that she was going to share her side of the story. She also feels that she was edited as the villain of this season. However, her castmates claim that she was edited too nicely.
Captain Sandy says she wasn’t aware of Lexi’s behavior. She will address that on the reunion special. She couldn’t fire Lexi right away just on the account of something that someone said.
“I didn’t see Lexi’s behavior. If I would’ve seen it, I would have fired her immediately,” Sandy added.
The Below Deck Mediterranean Season 6 finale airs Monday, October 18 at 9 p.m. ET, followed by the reunion special on Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen at 10 p.m. ET on Bravo.
