Does Lisa Vanderpump Speak To Former ‘Pump Rules’ Cast Members?
Lisa Vanderpump and her fellow cast members are back on Vanderpump Rules Season 9. However, it has some noticeably absent faces. In June 2020, Bravo fired Stassi Schroeder, Kristen Doute, Brett Caprioni, and Max Boyens for their racially insensitive comments and actions. Six months later, Jax Taylor and Brittany Cartwright announced their respective exits from the show.
The new season premiered late last month with sluggish ratings. Fans are holding out hope for the old cast members to return. It’s all they can think about whenever they watch the new season. Vanderpump revealed whether she’s still in touch with the fired cast members.
Lisa Vanderpump reveals if she still interacts with ex Vanderpump Rules cast members
Earlier this month, Lisa Vanderpump spoke to ET Online about the new season. She also shared whether she maintained her relationship with the former cast members. The reality star can’t speak with them since they’re no longer for them. She had to remove them from her life.
“I don’t have anything much to do with interacting with them,” Lisa Vanderpump said. “I did send baby presents and have kind of congratulated them and we have spoken, but they’re not part of my life unless they’re really on the show or working for me.”
While she no longer speaks to them, she doesn’t wish them any ill will. Some fans believe that Vanderpump had something to do with the firings. They also believe that she’s rude when it comes to how she deals with former Pump Rules employees. The Bravo star says that it’s not as heartless as it may sound.
Vanderpump explains there is no animosity on her side. She wishes them well on their future projects and endeavors. However, she feels it’s best to end their relationship. Still, she wishes they will learn from their mistakes.
“I wish them all well, I do,” Lisa Vanderpump continued. “I also think they needed to learn a lesson about, you know, respecting other people’s point of views and having empathy and looking at other people’s lives, not just through their own lens. Personally, I think a lot of people need to learn that.”
Reveals what’s different about Season 9
Lisa Vanderpump also shared that Vanderpump Rules Season 9 has a different angle. She wanted to explain how the show will pick up from it left off. It’s not a continuation of the previous season. The new season also doesn’t mention the former cast members.
“Ultimately, this group kind of also revolves around my world, the restaurant, coming to me for mentorship, and how cohesive that group is — of course, things change — but the same way we’ve also introduced new cast members,” Lisa Vanderpump explained. “You see Charli [Burnett], she’s very comfortable in this group. You see Lala Kent, you see James Kennedy and Raquel Leviss, how they’ve come to this group and things have changed.”
Yet, Vanderpump had to throw some shade. She said that the old cast members won’t be missed. Both Stassi Schroeder and Jax Taylor confirmed that they never heard back from Vanderpump after their exits. Vanderpump Rules Season 9 air Tuesdays at 9 p.m. ET on Bravo.
