Did Tom Schwartz & Tom Sandoval Really Settle On Schwartz & Sandy’s?

Tom Sandoval and Tom Schwartz can’t seem to agree on the name of their new bar. In Season 9 of Vanderpump Rules, Sandoval told Lisa Vanderpump that they’re working on a new bar. He wants the name Schwartz & Sandy’s, which is not a hit with anyone. Schwartz’s wife, Katie Maloney, thinks the name is lame and Schwartz agrees.

He feels that it’s “uninspired.” However, he doesn’t have it in his heart to tell Sandoval about his distaste for the name. Instead, he would let Sandoval take the lead and do whatever he wants to their new bar. Schwartz still hasn’t learned how to boss up after the launch of their first bar, TomTom.

Are Schwartz and Sandoval finally on the same page?

The Vanderpump Rules stars finally agreed on the name of the bar. The bar will open in the Franklin Village area of Los Angeles later this year. The fans already made it clear that they also don’t like the name Schwartz & Sandy’s. In a new interview with Entertainment Tonight, Schwartz revealed the name they finally agreed on.

“The people have spoken and it’s unanimous,” Tom Schwartz told the publication. “The public does not like it, but we’re going to make them like it! Once you come and experience the Schwartz and Sandy’s experience. We’re committed.”

Apparently, Schwartz came around to the name. Both the viewers and the co-stars have spoke out about their disdain for Schwartz and Sandy’s. Katie Maloney even said, “I think it’s horrible.” It doesn’t like a bar name to most people.

Sandy’s doesn’t even make sense. Tom Sandoval is typically known as Sandoval, not Sandy. No one on the show has referred to him as “Sandy” before. When viewers first heard the name, they were confused why they were including the name “Sandy.” Some think it’s a missed opportunity to call the new bar Tom Squared.

Tom and Tom will make Vanderpump Rules fans like the name

Tom Schwartz and Tom Sandoval feel good about the name. During their appearance on Watch What Happens Live, they took name suggestions. But they revealed that Schwartz and Sandy’s was “official.” Sandoval even purchased the domains for it already.

Host Andy Cohen asked Sandoval, “Is your nickname actually Sandy, by the way?” He said, “I don’t know.” Later in the show, a poll revealed that most fans are not on board with the name. They don’t think it conveys what’s supposed to be a trendy bar. Sandoval compared the name of the establishment to the name of a famous rock band.

“When I first heard the name Red Hot Chili Peppers, I’m like, ‘That kind of sounds like a mariachi band,'” Tom Sandoval told Us Weekly. “But now after so many years — decades — you know, Red Hot Chili Peppers has established itself as that band and that name is associated with them.”

Aside from their new bar, the Toms are also launching their own whiskey label. This brand will be called Toms’ Good Lovin. Schwartz previously compared these new ventures as his “babies.” Meanwhile, he wants to make actual babies with his wife Katie.
