‘RHOBH’ Is Erika Jayne’s Sole Source Of Income: Will She Get A Raise?
Erika Jayne revealed that RHOBH is her main source of income. The reality star has been dropped from many of her endorsements amid the ongoing embezzlement case. As of right now, the future of E.J. Global Inc. is at a standstill as the attorneys look into the finances behind the business. Both Erika and her estranged husband, Thomas Girardi, are accused of allegedly embezzling funds meant for his clients.
Erika is having a difficult time making money right now. This led her to sell some of her belongings and merchandise on her official website. However, the Bravo series is her only main source of money. She no longer has her Broadway show or music to fall back on.
RHOBH is her main source of income
The first part of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills four-part reunion aired on Wednesday, October 13. During the reunion, Erika Jayne revealed that her life is no longer glamorous. She no longer lives like a lavish blonde vixen. She revealed that the show is her primary source of income since she filed for divorce in November 2020.
“Yeah, unfortunately, it is. You know, that is more now of a consideration,” Erika Jayne explained to host Andy Cohen. “Back then, when we were shooting the show, I was literally trying to survive. So now that we’re here, yes — that has come more into consideration.”
Andy addressed the outcries from fans who want her fired from the show. Erika shared her thoughts on those demanding that she should be “fired” from RHOBH. “No, why should I be fired?” she argued. “Why are we presuming that I’ve done something? Why aren’t we letting the legal process play out?”
Erika claimed that fans have only “heard one side” up to this point. She promises to share her side of the story at some point. The Pretty Mess author wants the fans to give her the opportunity to “defend myself.” Erika promises that she’s “ready for the challenge.”
Why Erika Jayne hasn’t left the show
While Erika Jayne is not getting fired from RHOBH anytime soon, she revealed that her attorneys suggested that she should leave the Bravo series amid the ongoing legal drama. But she claims that she has “nothing to hide.” Erika acknowledged that everything she says can be used against her, but she didn’t want to “run away from what’s coming at me.” The reunion did not shy away from Erika’s legal battle.
She addressed the divorce and the financial problems stemming from it. According to a report via Us Weekly, Erika could get a higher paycheck for Season 12. As TV Shows Ace previously reported, the Chicago star is likely to return for another season as her legal woes continue to play out.
“It’s going to be much more next season,” the insider told Us Weekly. It makes sense since Erika Jayne has become the “sole focus this season.” There is “no question” that the reality star will “demand a higher paycheck” if she’s asked back for another season.
“The ratings were off the charts because of her storyline and what she’s exposed,” the source continued. “What she’s dealing with [regarding] Tom [Girardi] and the court is not over yet so you can only imagine what next season is going to bring.”
Producers want to start filming as soon as possible. As of right now, there is no cast shakeup for the next season. Bravo has not announced who is returning and who will be leaving the series behind. Part two of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills Season 11 reunion airs next Wednesday, October 20 at 8 p.m. ET on Bravo.
