Hallmark’s ‘Boyfriends Of Christmas Past’ Based On Edie Grace Novel

Hallmark’s Boyfriends Of Christmas Past has a Dickens-type of twist that doesn’t have three ghosts, but four. This new Countdown to Christmas movie is based on the novel by Edie Grace.
Boyfriends Of Christmas Past stars Catherine Haena Kim (FBI, Girlfriends Of Christmas Past), Raymond Ablack (Ginny & Georgia, Orphan Black), Paul Sun-Hyuang Lee (Kim’s Convenience), and Susan Hanson (A Million Little Things).
What Is Hallmark’s Boyfriends Of Christmas Past About?
Hallmark’s Boyfriends of Christmas Past is the second movie coming out for the Christmas season. What is it about? According to the Hallmark synopsis, marketing executive Lauren (Kim) has always appreciated her best friend Nate (Ablack).
After all, her father (Lee) and stepmother (Hanson) adore him. Moreover, he’s always there to support her with gingerbread and hot cocoa – her favorites. She tries to be there for him, too.
Now, Lauren promises to help him decorate the Christmas tree at the community center where he works. However, when Lauren’s office is tasked with putting together a last-minute pitch for a client by Christmas Eve, she backs out.
That night, she wakes at 2:00 a.m. to a confusing surprise. Out of the blue is the boyfriend she’d had as a teenager is in her apartment. Most of all, he hasn’t aged a day! He is there to warn her to change her ways.
After he warns Lauren, she is soon visited by three more ex-boyfriends. They each help her revisit past their Christmases together in hopes of getting her to see the pattern in her relationships.
During these trips to her holiday history, Lauren sees the one person she could always count on is Nate, but in the present, she is too scared to recognize the love that is right in front of her.
She must learn from her past and open her heart or risk losing Nate forever.
