Most people originally knew Lori Loughlin from her Full House performance. But these days, she’s a little more well-known for her part in the 2018 college admissions scandal.
This year, her 22-year-old daughter Olivia Jade is part of the Dancing With The Stars cast. But would Lori ever consider competing on the show herself?
Anything is possible, right?
Val Chmerkovskiy would really like to see Lori Loughlin join the DWTS cast
This year, Olivia Jade is competing with a seasoned pro, Val Chmerkovskiy. And according to Val, he’d really like to compete with Lori Loughlin if given the chance.
“I don’t know how many more seasons I got in me, but I’ll stick around for [Lori],” Val told Page Six in an interview after the most recent DWTS episode.
Olivia Jade added that she wasn’t sure if her famous mom would ever like to be part of the show.
“Yeah, I don’t know. I haven’t really asked her, like, ‘Would you come on and do the show?’” the influencer said. “But she’s just proud of me. Mama bear, just excited.”
Even though Lori Loughlin and her family have had a rough few years, it seems like they’re banding together as a family and are earnestly trying to move past things. The Full House actress is even getting back into the spotlight as she returns to Hallmark.
Could Dancing With The Stars change the public’s perception of the family?
Olivia Jade definitely hopes her appearance on Dancing With The Stars will help her grow as a person. She also really wants to put the college admissions scandal behind her and show the world she wants to change.
“I think for the last few years, when I’m out or when I walk around, I feel embarrassed. Like, I hold guilt,” the young influencer said after her Monday night performance. “So to do something like this, to work so hard at it, it feels nice for me to finally sort of carry pride.”
Show hostess Tyra Banks defended the controversial decision to cast Olivia Jade in the first place.
“I think Olivia is so brave. I think people don’t know her, they know what happened to her,” Tyra said in an exclusive interview with ET. “She has said that she did not know about what was going on and it’s really sad, and it’s very hurtful when something publicly happens but you had nothing to do with it. So I trust that she says she didn’t know.”
So what do you think of all this? Are you cheering for Olivia Jade this year? Do you hope that Lori Loughlin will compete in future seasons? Leave your thoughts in the comments. We want to hear from you.
