ABC Announces ‘DWTS’ Pro Dancer Cast List Ahead Of Season 30
The Dancing With The Stars Season 30 premiere is almost here! Fans can expect a lot of fun and excitement for this milestone season starting on September 20. DWTS producers recently announced the pro cast list for Season 30 to ramp up the anticipation on the show’s Instagram page. Are you ready to see who will compete in the ballroom this season?
There are many familiar faces returning to the DWTS pro dancer cast list for Season 30
If you loved the pro dancers that competed last year during Season 29, you’re in for a treat. Most of the professionals that competed last year are coming back.
Reigning champion Artem Chigvintsev will return for Season 30 after taking home his first Mirrorball Trophy along with Kaitlyn Bristowe last year. This is hardly a surprise, seeing as Artem also received an Emmy nomination for his stellar choreography.
Returning male dancers include Val Chmerkovskiy, Alan Bersten, Brandon Armstrong, Sasha Farber, Gleb Savchenko, and Pasha Pashkov.
Lindsay Arnold and Witney Carson sat out last season due to their maternity leaves. However, they’ve been training all year to get back in shape. Producers confirmed they will be part of the DWTS pro dancer cast list too.
Other returning women dancers include Cheryl Burke, Jenna Johnson, Sharna Burgess, Emma Slater, Britt Stewart, and Daniella Karagach.
Britt and Daniella made their debut as DWTS pro dancers during Season 29. And it seems like they really made a splash with audience members. Daniella and her partner Nelly even finished in third place, despite receiving lower scores than the rest of the finalists. Fans are certain they’ll perform well in the upcoming season.
So who isn’t returning?
Now that we know the pros returning, it’s clear that it’s going to be a pretty full cast. There are 15 pro dancers listed — the same number as last year. There are no new pros joining the cast. But since Lindsay and Witney plan to compete this year, that means two other dancers lost spots.
Noticeably absent from the DWTS pro dancer cast list are Keo Motsepe and Peta Murgatroyd. Neither dancer publically said why they aren’t part of the cast. It’s possible they chose to sit out, but it’s also possible that producers chose other dancers instead. Sometimes, fans never know the reason why certain dancers are chosen over others.
Dancing With The Stars Season 29 was noticeably much more lowkey than previous seasons. If the ensemble comes back this year, it’s possible that Keo and Peta will have smaller roles in performances. Time will only tell.
Confirmed celebrity contestants thus far include Olivia Jade, Matt James, Amanda Kloots, Suni Lee, JoJo Siwa, and Kenya Moore. Who would you like to see paired up with each pro dancer?
Be sure to check out the season premiere of DWTS when it comes back on September 20. We’ll be here to fill you in as soon as we know more about the upcoming season.
