Olympian Suni Lee Joins Cast Of ‘Dancing With The Stars’ Season 30
Another Olympian will compete on Dancing With The Stars. The Season 30 premiere date is just a few weeks away so ABC started announcing this year’s competitors. Execs recently confirmed gymnast Suni Lee will be part of the show this year.
The official Dancing With The Stars twitter account broke the news by posting a video of Suni confirming she will be part of the lineup.

So can she really stick the landing here? You’ll just have to tune in to find out.
Suni Lee is among several Olympians that go on to compete on Dancing With The Stars
Plenty other Olympians go on to compete on Dancing With The Stars and do quite well. Laurie Hernandez took home the Mirrorball Trophy in Season 23 while Simone Biles came in 4th place in Season 24. Will this be Suni Lee’s year to take home the Mirrorball Trophy?
The 18-year-old gymnast just got back from the Tokyo Olympics where she won Americans’ hearts. We all marveled at the young athlete as she won gold in the gymnastics all-around, silver in the team finale, and bronze on the uneven bars. Now, she just started her freshman year of college at Auburn University.

Season 30 will feature the first ever same-sex couple
Fans should get excited to see Suni Lee compete, but that’s not the only surprise in store for Season 30. ABC execs also announced today that JoJo Siwa is joining the Season 30 cast — and she will compete with a female partner.
It’s much to early to know which celebrities will be paired up with which dancers. However, JoJo did say that she would pick Lindsay Arnold, Jenna Johnson, or Britt Stewart if she had to choose.
ABC apparently gave JoJo the choice of a male or female partner when she agreed to do the show. She opted for a female partner.
“It’s going to be tricky, but it’s going to give so much to people out there — people of the LGBTQ community, everyone,” JoJo said. She came out as pansexual earlier this year. “I want to make it OK for the people who come after me. No matter what [my girlfriend and I] are feeling, think about how normal we’re making things for the kids that are younger than us who are feeling these things.
“It breaks a wall that’s never been broken down before,” the 18-year-old added. “Not only do I get to share that you love who you want to love, but you also get to dance with who you want to dance with.”
Who do you want to see JoJo Siwa and Suni Lee dance with? We want to hear from you. Drop your opinions in the comments and be sure to tune in to the latest season of Dancing With The Stars on September 20.
