The Chrisley Knows Best star admits she was not making the best decisions when she slipped and slashed open her face. Turns out, she was trying to dermaplane her face with a scalpel. She now realizes the decision to try and perform this cosmetic procedure on her own was a mistake.

According to WebMD, dermaplaning is defined as “a procedure that exfoliates your skin and gets rid of dirt and vellus hair, better known as ‘peach fuzz.'” Typically a person dermaplaning their face would use a scalpel or a tool called a dermatome to perform the procedure properly.
It is highly recommended for someone to seek out a licensed aesthetician if they are interested in dermaplaning their face. Do-it-yourself kits, however, can be purchased in most cosmetics departments. WebMD, however, urges people to use EXTREME caution if trying to dermaplane their own face without a doctor present.
Do-it-yourself kits and tools are available online and at your local drugstore. But because you’re using a very sharp blade, you may cut your skin when you scrape it. This can lead to infection or other problems.”

The reality TV star ‘freaked out’ after it happened
Savannah Chrisley admits that she revealed out after she slipped and slashed open her gorgeous face. Fortunately, she reached out to her plastic surgeon Dr. Jacob Unger who was still awake. Turns out, her Dr. was able to quickly patch her up. She took a selfie showing her face from the side as she revealed a bandage on the side of her chin.
Chrisley Knows Bestfans assume it hadn’t been long since the time between when the incident happened and when this photo was snapped. Savannah Chrisley still appeared to be a bit stressed out and wasn’t her usual beaming with joy self.
