2 Other ‘RHOBH’ Stars Are Dealing With Their Own Legal Drama
Move over, Erika Jayne. Two of her RHOBH co-stars are having their own legal drama. As fans know, Erika Jayne and Thomas Girardi’s embezzlement case continues to play out in the media. Every day, there is a new development. It’s not looking for the start of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills.
As the season goes on, Erika will share her side of her story. Just don’t expect her to answer every question due to the ongoing legal proceedings. Now, it looks like her RHOBH co-stars are having their own legal issues. Read on to find out which of her co-stars have their own lawsuits.
Dorit Kemsley and PK owe $1.3 million in taxes
RHOBH stars Dorit Kemsley and her husband Paul “PK” Kemsley are dealing with tax issues. Per The Sun, the couple owes over $1.3 million in unpaid taxes. On Wednesday, July 21, The Sun reported that there are large tax liens pending against them. One is for the amount of $635,887.23 and the other is for $289,423.67.
The total amounts to over $1.3 million. This comes after Dorit and PK slashed $1.5 million off their six-bedroom, seven-and-a-half bathroom farmhouse. In September 2020, they originally listed the property for $9.5 million. They briefly take the home off the market before relisting it in April.
Now, it’s available at the asking price of $8 million or $75,000 per month. RHOBH fans are familiar with the couple’s financial problems. They’ve been hit with multiple lawsuits over the years. In June 2019, Dorit addressed her husband’s bankruptcy and other money issues on the show.
In a recent episode of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, Dorit made it clear that lawsuits are not funny. She couldn’t imagine herself in Erika’s situation. Dorit seemed to question the embezzlement case even though she’s avoided her financial issues on the show. Fans noticed hypocrisy among the housewives and how they treated Erika’s situation.
RHOBH star Lisa Rinna sued for $1.2 million
Meanwhile, Lisa Rinna is cracking jokes about her “heavily mortgaged house.” She has been hit with a $1.2 million bill. TV Shows Ace previously reported that the RHOBH star has been hit with copyright infringement. The problem stems from her Instagram post, which could cost her.
On June 11, 2021, Backgrid USA Inc. filed a complaint against Rinna for copyright infringement. She posted photos on her Instagram feed without the photographer’s permission and now she could end up in court over it. She was aware of the copyright infringement on February 5, 2021. Backgrid is suing Rinna for $1.2 million in damages and requests that she cover their attorney fees and additional costs.
The Days of Our Lives alum is unbothered by this lawsuit. She posted a video of herself dancing as she always does when drama surrounds her. Rinna danced around as Harry Hamlin tended to his impressive garden.
“Just dancing in my heavily mortgaged house with my hot husband,” Rinna captioned the Monday, July 19 post, which she later deleted.
Attorney Ronald Richards previously spilled the tea on Rinna. She owes $3.45 million on the home that she and Harry Hamlin share. He’s currently investigating Erika Jayne’s assets in Thomas Girardi’s embezzlement case. The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills airs Wednesdays at 8 p.m. ET on Bravo.
