What Is UPtv’s Love In Whitbrooke About?
According to the UPtv synopsis, Amber Verdon (Bristow) works as a project manager for the Chicago-based Marsh Technologies. Most of all, she loves that this is a global position. However, her busy career means that her love of painting is no longer something she has time for. Unfortunately, she no longer paints at all.
Ironically, she always imagined that she would travel the world and paint. She is doing half of that, but without the bohemian dream. Yet, painting is far from her mind. That is because her boss has now offered her a dream position in London, England.
However. her mom, Barbara Verdon (McNally) needs her help. Amber needs to return to her Illinois small town of Whitbrooke Harbor. Her dad Rick (Rex Hagon) is laid up. He is unable to run the family café. Unfortunately, Amber may not be of much help as her kitchen skills are nonexistent.
Founders Day In Whitbrooke
In the UPtv movie, Whitbrooke Harbor is currently bustling. Soon, there will be an extravaganza of Founder Days celebrations. That is because the town is celebrating its 100th anniversary. Therefore, Amber only plans to stay until Founder’s Day.
Unfortunately, Amber discovers more is wrong than her dad’s temporary setback. A new property owner has dramatically increased the café rent. The shocking increase has caused Amber’s parents to neglect to pay their operational payments. They cannot make up for the increase in cost.
Meanwhile, Amber is now roped into helping organize the Founder’s Day celebration. Now, she is working close to Jason Taylor (Sevier). Jason, a carpenter, is a man of many trades and skills. Add that this younger sister Molly Taylor (Julia Tomasone), works in the café. Turns out, Jason and Molly are the last two descendants of the town founders.
While Jason seems firmly planted in Whitbrooke Harbor, he had his own world-traveling dreams. But, responsibility put his dreams on the back burner. Due to some tragic circumstances, Jason wound up becoming Molly’s guardian.
Now, Amber and Jason have found each other. How does this romance affect whether or not Amber goes on to London to fulfill one of her world travel dreams?
