Danielle Busby got defensive on Instagram lately in response to the heavy criticism she received for going on another girls’ trip. Unfortunately for the TLC personality, OutDaughtered fans seemed to double down on the hate and trolling in the comments. Turns out, there wasn’t much Danielle could say that made fans understand her constant need for vacations.

Danielle Busby defends her break from reality
Possibly feeling attacked for her decision to take a break from her girls and her husband, Danielle Busby took to Instagram to note people don’t realize how much mothers really do for their households. Being a mother is exhausting. But, it is also a rewarding job that she wouldn’t change for anything in the world. She, however, recognizes the need to step back and take a break from time to time. These breaks allow her to recharge. Once she recharges, she can continue to be the best mother she can be for her girls.
Danielle Busby continues to explain that mothers often forget to take time for themselves. By the time the day comes to an end, mothers are exhausted and can’t do anything other than just go to sleep to start the day over tomorrow.
So Mamas out there reading this…I want to say, no matter what your ‘break is’ and what you enjoy for YOU…just find it and do it as much as you can! I believe we are better Mamas when we can 1. TRUST your spouse (or a sitter) to handle the daily responsibilities without you
2. Show your kids that YOU are not only a MAMA. Let them see that you have likes & interest too and one day it may be something they take after from you
AND 3. We ARE BETTER MAMAs when we can find time to REPLENISH ourselves.”

OutDaughtered fans think she’ll never understand
The reason Danielle Busby got so much backlash is that her idea of a “break” differs greatly from what her fans consider a “break” to be. Her fans pointed out that most mothers cannot afford to just jet off for a weekend while their spouse watches their children. Others chimed in they had to wait until all of their children were grown and out of the house to go on this type of break. Overall, fans just don’t think Danielle Busby understands what life is like without money to drop everything for a trip.

Danielle- I understand why you need a beake. I am a mother of 3 and cant compare to your situation. But Being a real mom, Wife, friend, sister,….. the list goes on. And yes mabe we all do not have the money for breakaways- but thats not your fold and not for any of us to judge you… I havent walked one step in your shoes. Love your family and 👍🏻 think you are trying your Best
I’m a mom that has raised my 3 boy and yes you do need a brake from ever thing . Some people can’t afford to spend money and some can why are the fans giving crap over getting a way . Now I’m 55 grandma that is raising my two grandson and yes I would love a brake . But they need me so my brakes at after they go to bed so you guys need to stop try to shaming Danielle
Danielle take as many breaks as you want. These so called fans sound like haters. It’s not Danielle’s fault that yall cant afford to take a girls trip or that you don’t have childcare to do so. Let this woman live she does so much at home. People need to be ashamed of themselves they cant let anyone be great.
Who are these people to judge? If I had that many kids I would need more breaks also, some people handle stress differently and may get overwhelmed more, it’s a good thing she realizes she needs a break, and it’s great her husband has time to watch his “own children”. A lot of these people are just jealous they don’t have money for a get away or a great husband and family to help. It’s not that uncommon. It’s not just a woman’s job to raise their children anymore!!!
Until you have quints, I don’t think you should have an opinion. I am a mom a quadruplets and just did the exact same thing last weekend. Took a flight for a weekend getaway for my own sanity. I don’t have a show and therefore don’t earn money from a show but a break from your children is healthy. My suggestion again: have multiples/quints if you want to have an opinion.
