Did Bravo Fire Erika Jayne From ‘RHOBH’ Amid Legal Woes?
Is Bravo planning on firing Erika Jayne? Rumors are swirling that two of the hottest housewives on Bravo could be at risk of losing their jobs. As RHOBH fans know, Erika is in the midst of a public divorce and ongoing legal drama. The couple has been accused of allegedly embezzling settlement money to fund their lavish lifestyle.
Last month, Hulu dropped the documentary, The Housewife and the Hustler. It’s not a good look for the reality star who’s currently on Season 11 of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills. Fans have a feeling that it will be her last season on the show.
Bravo housewives at risk of firing
According to a new report, Erika Jayne and Jen Shah of The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City could lose their jobs. Bravo is still in the midst of cleaning out its network. This comes on the heels of the cast shakeup that affected Season 16 of The Real Housewives of Orange County. Bravo waved bye-bye to Kelly Dodd, Braunwyn Windham-Burke, and Elizabeth Lyn Vargas.
Now it looks like Erika and Jen could be the next. An insider claims that they are the two “most problematic” Housewives in the entire franchise. Contract negotiations are already taking place behind the scenes. It may not look good for either Bravo star.
“Heads are rolling, and no one feels safe, not the OGs, fan favorites, or the newcomers,” an insider revealed in the new issue of Life & Style. “Lots of names are being tossed about, including Erika Jayne and Jen Shah.”
Erika landed in controversy when she became linked to her estranged husband Thomas Girardi’s embezzlement and fraud case. As for Jen, she could face up to 50 years in jail for her role in a telemarketing scam that targeted senior citizens. Unfortunately, the network is scrambling to replace its most controversial reality stars. The insider added that “Bravo has a list of the most problematic.”
Andy Cohen doesn’t want to fire Erika Jayne
Despite the rumors, Andy Cohen doesn’t plan to fire Erika Jayne. On Monday’s episode of Radio Andy, he defended the pop star once again. Andy received calls for Erika’s firing. Yet, that hasn’t changed his mind.
“I’m getting a lot of tweets from people saying, ‘You have to fire Erika from the show,'” Andy said. “I’m like, ‘You realize that the show is wrapped, we have shot it. You cannot remove her from the show.'”
However, there is still time to remove Erika from returning. Andy added that unless the judge convicts Erika of a crime, it’s unlikely that Bravo will fire her. Instead, he thinks the storyline should continue to play out on the show. He called it “interesting.”
Andy also teased that the reactions to Erika and Tom’s legal woes are “interesting.” It’s so juicy that Season 11 of RHOBH will run into September. Filming for the reunion won’t take place until after Labor Day. The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills airs Wednesdays at 8 p.m. ET on Bravo.
