‘Y&R’ Spoilers: Abby Newman’s Ex Tyler Back Amid Stitch Return?

The Y&R spoilers reveal that Abby Newman’s ex-boyfriend Tyler could make a return. Viewers are already watching the return of Dr. Ben “Stitch” Rayburn (Sean Carrigan). For the past week or so, he’s been making his rounds around Genoa City. His first appearance aired on the Friday, June 25 episode of The Young and the Restless.

Stitch first made his debut in 2013 as Dylan’s (Steve Burton) war friend. Stitch and Abby wed in 2015 but ended abruptly. Their marriage ended following her miscarriage. Stitch’s son, Max (Jared Breeze), caused an accident that led to her loss. Stitch wanted to move forward and start anew, but Abby still has emotional scars from that time in her life.

She still does to this day. Currently, Abby is happily married to Chance Chancellor (Donny Boaz), who is currently away on a top-secret mission. She asked Devon Hamilton (Bryton James) and Mariah Copeland (Camryn Grimes) to help her start a family. Abby and Chance struggled to conceive. Mariah agreed to be Abby’s surrogate with Devon as the sperm donor.

Since then, Abby’s past has come back to haunt her. Now, it looks like another ex from her past could be making a comeback.

The Y&R spoilers hint about Tyler recast

On Tuesday, July 6, Soaps.com reported that Christian Telesmar will make his debut on The Young and the Restless. He will play the role of Tyler. However, it’s unclear whether he will be playing the role of Tyler Michaelson. Redaric Williams previously played the role from 2012 to 2014. Or, maybe Telesmar will play the role of a whole new Tyler who has nothing to do with Abby.

The last thing Abby needs is another blast from the past. She’s already dealing with constant sightings from Stitch. Tyler last visited Genoa City as Leslie Michaelson’s younger brother. At the time, the lawyer had a fling with Lily Winters (Christel Khalil). Things fizzled between them and Tyler became involved with Abby.

Their relationship was then halted by Mariah, who was stalking him. She infamously snuck into their hotel room and made Abby think that Tyler was cheating on her. She did whatever it took to drive a wedge between Tyler and Abby. Tyler told Abby he would talk to Mariah, and Tyler and Abby remained together.

Mariah was found to be Sharon Newman’s (Sharon Case) long lost daughter and late twin to her daughter Cassie.

Tyler could be in the shock of his life

If Abby’s ex Tyler does return to Y&R, he’ll be shocked to see where Abby and Mariah’s relationship ended up today. The two have since become good friends. The characters put their differences aside despite their crazy past. He’ll be dumbfounded to see Mariah as Abby’s surrogate and living at the Chancellor Estate.

Christian Telesmar will debut on The Young and the Restless on Thursday, July 8, and on Friday, July 9. Tune in to see if Abby and Mariah’s ex has returned to Genoa City. Or, this could be another Tyler who will be used for another storyline.
