Chrisley Knows Best Todd & Julie Chrisley discuss what it’s like to be betrayed by a family member

While neither Todd or Julie confirm who they’re speaking about, it assumable that they’re referencing Todd’s oldest daughter, Lindsie Chrisley Campbell. During this episode of the podcast, Todd and Julie are reminiscing about their last 25 years together. This is because they just celebrated their 25th wedding anniversary. At one point, the conversation shift to the fact that the last two years have probably been the hardest for the couple. Consequently, it’s because Todd feels betrayed by his “own flesh and blood.”

Julie Chrisley Gets Candid About Todd’s Estranged Daughter Lindsie

Sadly, Todd Chrisley explains that being betrayed by your own blood is “a hurt that is everlasting.” He goes on to say that he thinks God “gives you the strength to get up and put one foot in front of the other, but it’s different when you are betrayed by a stranger on the street, or a co-worker, or whatever, but not from within your own bloodline.”

Julie shares her feelings about the betrayal

Heartbreakingly, Todd isn’t the only one affected by this. Julie shares some of the things that she discusses with her therapist. For example, she feels like (at one time) they were all one happy family. Not only that, but she claims Todd’s  kids from his first marriage as her own. Julie feels like after 25 years of giving the kids everything, it means “absolutely nothing.”  Understandably, a betrayal by either of Todd’s older children seems like a slap in the face to Julie. Furthermore, Julie explains that she knows how she feels and what she’s “had to do to be able to move forward.” With that in mind, she “can’t imagine how Todd feels.”

Luckily, Julie explains that this situation could have been worse if Todd didn’t have such a strong faith. Ultimately, because of his faith, Todd and Julie know that they are going to be okay with everything. According to Julie, if this would have happened about 15 years ago, she’s not sure that it would have had the same outcome.
