Ethan Ybarra Fends Off ‘Thirsty’ Fans After Split From Myrka Cantu
Were Ethan Ybarra’s followers just waiting for his relationship with Myrka Cantu to be over before they pounced? After the Unexpected stars confirmed their split, Ethan Ybarra has been fending off thirsty fans on Instagram. But why is he posting the thirsty messages his followers send him? And what does Myrka think about it?
Myrka Cantu Dumps Baby Daddy
Myrka Cantu and Ethan Ybarra won over fans on Season 4 of Unexpected. The high school sweethearts shared their journey as teen parents on the TLC show. Throughout the season, Myrka Cantu constantly received questions about the status of their relationship. Until recently, she always said they were still together.
However, that changed last week when she made posts on her social media alluding to a split. Both Myrka and Ethan took to their respective Instagrams a few days later to confirm that they did break up. However, they plan to co-parent their daughter and are still on speaking terms.
In her Instagram Stories Q&A, Myrka revealed that it was her decision to break up. According to her, it is unlikely that they will get back together.
Ethan Ybarra Fends Off Thirsty Fans
Since the breakup, Ethan has wiped his Instagram clean of all photos of Myrka. All photos entirely, in fact. He does, however, still communicate with his followers via Instagram Stories.
The last few nights, he has held late-night Q&A sessions with his followers, encouraging them to “say anything.” And do they! He often posts messages from fans complimenting his looks or otherwise acting thirsty.
One fan even called Ethan’s followers out for the types of messages he’s receiving. The fan wrote “they thirsty” about Ethan’s fans.
Some might wonder if Ethan is posting those comments hoping to make his ex jealous.
Ethan Ybarra is also getting questions asking if he is bi. He doesn’t seem to know where his followers are getting that impression, though.
Myrka Cantu Shrugs Off Ex’s Attempt to Get Under Her Skin
Now that the split is confirmed, Myrka Cantu is fielding comments from fans wanting the former couple to reunite. It seems that the Unexpected alum isn’t interested in repairing her relationship with Ethan.
One follower asked Myrka if there’s “a chance” for her & Ethan to get back together. Without explaining why, Myrka responded, “highly doubt it.”
Actually, they have both kept mum about the reasons behind the split. They did, however, deny that cheating or domestic violence was involved.

While Ethan may be trying to make Myrka jealous, could she also be doing the same? She has been working out with a personal trainer and showed off her weight loss progress. Was she showing her ex what he must be missing?
It seems she may not be shrugging off Ethan’s thirsty followers as easily as she pretends.
