My 600-Lb. Life Chrystal Rollins Elevator

My 600-Lb. Life Chrystal Rollins keeps hitting roadblock after roadblock on TLC’s hit weight-loss show. As fans have seen, she struggles to meet her weight loss goal set by Dr. Now. TLC recently releases another clip about Chrystal on their Instagram. It appears that another hardship presents itself in Chrystal’s weight-loss journey. Keep reading to find out more.

Chrystal struggles at a Houston hotel

The new clip shows Chrystal in what appears to be a hotel. The voice-over for the clip is Chrystal explaining how this setup won’t work for her. The room she’s in is on the third floor. She shares “I don’t do third floor.” However, it isn’t without reason. She’s fearful of falling and/or getting hurt. Not only that, Chrystal has a fear of elevators.

At the beginning of three minute and five-second clip, My 600-Lb. Life viewers view how much of an ordeal it is for Chrystal to use an elevator. Unfortunately, while seated in her wheelchair, Chrystal can’t fit through the elevator doors. So before she stands up, they pass her oxygen tank through. However, while trying to enter the elevator, something startles Chrystal, and she quickly retreats back to her wheelchair.

Shortly, viewers find out why Chrystal is startled in the elevator. Shockingly, when she steps into the elevator, it noticeably shifts down. Additionally, it looks like her hand got caught and injured because she ends up with two of her fingers wrapped up in what looks like paper towels. She repeatedly says “the elevator almost killed me.”

My 600-Lb. Life viewers don’t seem to have sympathy for her and her elevator fear

The comments don’t take it easy on Chrystal. One commenter pretty much summarizes most people’s thoughts on this clip.

Her food addiction is a disease. Plain and Simple. It is no different than being an alcoholoic or drug addict. She is deflecting by blamin the elevator and not herself. I truly hope she gets the help she needs. THe surgery itself is not enought. She needs INTENSE mental therapy.”

Not only that, several comments point out the fact that elevators have a 1,000 pound weight limit. As far as viewers know, Chrystal weighs in somewhere in the ballpark of 600 pounds.

Other commenters feel bad for her children and brother. Ultimately, they have to deal with Chrystal’s struggles too. It seems that accommodating Chrystal would pose a mild inconvenience, at the least, to anyone that’s there to help her.
