Why Kate Chastain Left ‘Bravo’s Chat Room,’ According To Hannah Berner

Summer House star Hannah Berner revealed why Kate Chastain exited Bravo’s Chat Room. Her absence from Season 2 came as a shock to fans. Both Kate and Hannah were co-hosts on the new nightly show. However, Kate left without releasing a statement to fans.

Some assumed that there was drama among the co-hosts. Others speculated whether Kate would return to Season 9 of Below Deck. So far, Kate is deadset on embarking on a new career outside of yachting. In a new interview, Hannah revealed that the former chief stew has moved onto “bigger and better” projects.

Hannah Berner hinted as to why the Below Deck star left

The Bravo star had an exclusive interview with StyleCaster. Hannah revealed the reason why Kate Chastian really quit Bravo’s Chat Room. Apparently, Kate has some projects up her sleeve. And she’s not filming the ninth season of Below Deck. The series is currently filming Season 9 and fans are wondering who’s on the new crew.

Kate shared that she’s back in Florida. In her interview with StyleCaster, Hannah said that Kate simply left Bravo’s Chat Room on good terms with all of her co-hosts. She simply wants to move on to better projects. However, Kate is still a producer of the show.

“The whole show was Kate’s idea,” Hannah told StyleCaster. “She was the one who called me and was like, ‘Hey, I think we have great chemistry and you would be great on this.’ So I did a couple of chemistry tests and it ended up working out.”

The Summer House star credited Kate for launching the show. But the television personality has other projects going on. Hannah admits that she doesn’t know Kate’s entire story. It just sounds like the former yachtie wants to move on.

“I don’t know exactly what’s going on,” Hannah continued. “But she’s teased it. I just know she’s onto bigger and better things.”

Who would make a great replacement?

Now that Kate Chastain is gone, Hannah shared her idea for a third replacement. She exclaimed that she would like someone from the west coast. Most of the co-hosts on Bravo’s Chat Room are from the east coast.

“I like Margaret Josephs,” she said. “She’s straight up and hilarious. Maybe someone from Beverly Hills because we talk about them a lot. [Lisa] Rinna could be interesting. But so much of it is chemistry, and I do think Margaret Josephs could hang with us because there’s a lot of east coast energy happening.”

Is Kate Chastain starring in another Below Deck spinoff?

Casting agents previously teased that Below Deck could charter in cold waters. So far, most of the franchise has filmed in warmer or tropical climates. If there’s another spinoff series on the way, then that would bring the total to four.

Kate even teased the idea of the casting call on her Instagram. She even shared some edited photos of herself delivering champagne at a nearby iceberg. But that doesn’t mean that Kate is returning to the show. She’s had several projects since leaving the Bravo series, including Below Deck Galley Talk, Unapologetically Kate Chastain, Ghosted, and Watch With Kate.
