Tammy Slaton started her weight loss journey with her sister Amy Halterman. Now, Amy flourished. She met her weight loss goal. And, she got approved for surgery. Tammy, however, did not. So, Amy left her sister Tammy behind and got the surgery without her.
Well, their brother Chris Combs stepped into the diet buddy position. And, he started down the journey to lose weight too. In both a fortunate and unfortunate situation, Chris Combs has also done really well at meeting his weight loss goals. And, now we know he is gearing up to leave Tammy behind as well.
We’ve already previously reported that fans are worried about what will happen to Tammy when both Chris and Amy abandon her for their own lives. But, Amy has made it clear she’s not willing to keep taking care of Tammy forever. And, Chris is going to let Tammy hold him back from living his life either.

Can Tammy continue down this weight loss journey with no family support?
Amy Halterman isn’t sure who the next diet buddy is
During the Season 2 Finale, Amy Halterman jokingly admits they are slowly running out of “fat family members” for Tammy to adopt as a diet buddy. And, this concerned her. Amy recalls Tammy having a hard time learning Amy qualified for the surgery. Amy explained Tammy initially acted like it wasn’t a huge deal. But, then she more or less went inside her anti-social shell for a few weeks. Closed up and wanted nothing to do with Amy or anyone else.
Will Tammy be alright?
Amy worries the same will happen when Chris moves forward with his surgery. That being said, Amy doesn’t want Chris Combs to hold off on getting his surgery. And, she’s very happy he has met his weight loss goal and been given the green light.
Do they have another “fat family member” to go on the weight loss journey with Tammy? Or, is going to assisted living with a controlled environment really the next best step for their sister?
