‘Below Deck’ Alum Kate Chastain Quietly Leaves ‘Bravo’s Chat Room’

Kate Chastain is leaving Bravo’s Chat Room after one season. The Below Deck alum exited the show for unknown reasons. This comes after The Real Housewives of Atlanta star Porsha Williams confirmed the show’s renewal. In the new series, Kate would often share stories about her time as a chief stew.
On Thursday, February 18, an insider close to production confirms Kate’s exit. This comes just a year after Kate announced her exit from Below Deck. She left the show behind after Season 7. She even wrote her announcement similar to Meghan Markle and Prince Harry’s respective exits from their senior royal duties. Now, fans wonder what happened to her new job.
Kate Chastain shut out of Bravo’s Chat Room?
Kate Chastain was one of the four hosts on Bravo’s Chat Room. It was her first Bravo gig after leaving Below Deck. She shared co-hosting duties with The Real Housewives of Atlanta star Porsha Williams, The Real Housewives of Potomac star Gizelle Bryant, and Summer House star Hannah Berner. But just as the show got renewed, Kate has been shut out.
On Thursday, an insider confirmed the news to E! News. The former chief stew will no longer appear as co-host on the late-night talk show. Fans noticed that Kate was absent in the most recent episode. This also comes after Porsha announced the show’s renewal via Instagram. She left Kate’s name out of her post.
“The CHATROOM continues!!! 13 MORE EPISODES!!!” the reality star wrote in her post. “Thank you for loving our show !! We love seeing your comments and tweets keep em coming !! Love ya Co-Host @gizellebryant @beingbernz #Blessed.”

Below Deck alum slams former co-stars
Interestingly enough, Kate Chastain threw shade at her former Below Deck crew members. She even slammed The Real Housewives of New York star Ramona Singer over her packing skills – or lack thereof. She thinks the Bravo star would be the worst crew member on Below Deck.
“I definitely think that we can all agree that Ramona Singer would not be great. She would probably not want to unpack the luggage for other people,” she bluntly told Us Weekly. “She doesn’t even like to do it for herself!”
When it comes to her former co-stars, she could care less about them.
“I don’t really care about the rest of the deck crew,” Kate admitted in the candid interview.
Then, she revealed that she’s not on speaking terms with Below Deck Med alum Hannah Ferrier.
“Over the years, watching Hannah, I could just always tell we had very different styles of being a chief stew, but I just wanted to be supportive,” Kate continued. “But now, we’re not really friends because I heard she was talking poorly about me behind my back.”
Did Kate have issues with the Bravo’s Chat Room co-hosts?
Fans want to know why Kate Chastain has been shut out of the show. Some of them even blamed Porsha for not acknowledging her absence on the last episode. Some of the ladies of Bravo’s Chat Room shared their excitement about the renewal but kept mum on Kate’s disappearance.
An insider told Page Six that there are “no issues between Kate and the ladies, and Kate is still a very beloved part of the Bravo family.” In the meantime, she still appears on Below Deck: Galley Talk, in which she talks about the recent episodes.
