‘The Real Housewives Of Miami’ Is Coming Back – Where To Watch
The Real Housewives of Miami is officially back. Rumors have been swirling for weeks. But now the news is official. Bravo fans have been hoping that this show would come back. And it looks like it’s coming back in some form.
The reality series has become a cult classic. Some fans argue that it was cut too soon. It was also the show that Larsa Pippen was on before she became known for her friendship with the Kardashians. A new season of the show is currently in development at Peacock.
That means it won’t air on Bravo like the rest of the Real Housewives franchise.
The Real Housewives of Miami is finally back
On Wednesday, February 17, NBC Universal’s streaming service confirmed the news. For the past few weeks, rumors swirled about the return of The Real Housewives of Miami. Andy Cohen, Cooper Green, Matt Anderson, Nate Green serve as the executive producers of the show. Meanwhile, Purveyors of Pop produce the series.
In 2011, RHOM made its debut on Bravo. It featured original cast members Adriana de Moura, Alexia Echevarria, Cristy Rice, Larsa Pippen, Lea Black, and Marysol Patton. Ana Quincoces, Karent Sierra, Joanna Krupa, and Lisa Hochstein joined during the second season. The show aired for three seasons until Bravo canceled it in 2013.
Earlier this month, Us Weekly confirmed that the show would return. This time, however, producers want “a very diverse cast,” according to the show’s insider. They have already started the interview process. The network is open to “speaking to women from all different backgrounds.”
Also, it’s unclear whether the original cast members will return. As well as the news of The Real Housewives of Miami, Peacock announced the new series Ex-Rated, also hosted by Cohen. On this unscripted series, a group of singles sends “exit surveys” to their exes to find out what went wrong. It appears that Peacock is looking to revamp its streaming service, which doesn’t have enough original content as its competitors.
Will Larsa Pippen return to the show?
There are many burning questions surrounding the return of The Real Housewives of Miami. Fans want to know if Larsa Pippen will move from Los Angeles, California to Miami, Florida with her new man. The ex-wife of Scottie Pippen could give an update on her life. An insider closer to the model revealed that she’s “considering” the idea.
“Nothing has been signed yet, but she’s thinking about it,” an insider said, according to PopCulture. “She’s just a little skeptical because she doesn’t know if it’s right for her right now. She’s kind of playing devil’s advocate right now but there’s definitely been conversations.”
Cohen previously expressed an interest in bringing back the series. But he had a feeling that Patton’s mother Elsa Patton becoming ill and not appearing in Season 3 affected the ratings. That’s when Bravo decided not to carry on with the show. It’ll be interesting what direction this show will go in.
