Candace Cameron Bure Shares A Valentine’s Day Throwback
Candace Cameron Bure did something fun for Valentine’s Day. The Fuller House star shared a throwback photo on Instagram. She has not shied away from sharing photos on social media. Last month, Candace clapped back at the haters on her Instagram page.
She noticed the number of negative comments she got for her family portrait. Some commentators said her kids weren’t smiling. Others didn’t like how the family was posing. As TV Shows Ace previously reported, Candace was in “mama bear” mode and wanted to fight back.
But instead of sharing a photo of her family, she’s sharing an old photo of her with her husband, Val Bure.
Hallmark Channel star shares loving throwback photo
On Sunday, February 14, Candace Cameron Bure shared a throwback photo. The side-by-side photo showed her younger self with her husband, Val Bure. It also included a recent photo of the couple during an outing. In the caption, Candace wrote: “Some things never change. My forever valentine.”
She also included the hashtag “How It Started Vs. How It’s Going.” According to Candace, the throwback photo is from 1994. At the time, she was playing the role of D.J. Tanner on Full House. Her soon-to-be husband was a hockey player. The other photo was shot by Dave Coulier’s wife Melissa Coulier in 2021.
Candace’s throwback post received over 344,000 likes. Even her daughter, Natasha Bure, gave a seal of approval. Most of her fans and followers were feeling the love. One user wrote: “So cute! Love y’all!” Melissa Coulier commented: “Favs!!”
Others were in awe of how incredible Candace looks to this day. It’s like she never aged a day. She looked great when she reprised her role of D.J. Tanner on the Netflix reboot, Fuller House. Candace swears by Dr. Lancer, which she promotes on her Instagram page.
Candace Cameron Bure on that family photo controversy
Thankfully, most of the comments were positive. That wasn’t just last month. Candace Cameron Bure has to respond to Instagram users who were bashing her family photo. On the Wednesday, January 27 episode of Extra, she explained what went down in the comments section.
“Mama bear, that’s what happened,” the Aurora Teagarden Mysteries star joked. “Listen, on social media, everyone gets criticized, and if you are a celebrity, it just comes with the territory and I can handle it, but the second someone starts to criticize my children or say negative things like that, mama bear comes out. I just had to remind people that there are real people with real feelings behind the screen and I’m not posting for your negativity.”
The actress found the family photo “so beautiful,” which is why she wanted to share it. Her Instagram post was in honor of the new year. But instead of well wishes, she got a lot of hate. While Candace’s Instagram comments section had positive messages, most users pointed out all that was wrong with the photo.
Candace fired back at the “unkind comments” on her Facebook page. She advised them to “Be better than that.” Then, she concluded her post by saying that she’s “praying for humanity.” What are your thoughts on Candace’s throwback post? Sound off below in the comments.
