Faith Stowers Thinks Jax Taylor Was Not A Good Fit For Bravo
Faith Stowers finally broke her silence on Jax Taylor’s firing. Earlier this month, TV Shows Ace reported that Jax and Brittany Cartwright announced their respective exits from the show. Faith’s time on the show led to a series of firings. The reality star shared her experience as the first-ever Black cast member.
She claimed that Stassi Schroeder and Kristen Doute tried to arrest her for a crime. Faith also claims that Jax did the same. Stassi and Kristen were subsequently fired from the reality series in June. And six months later, Jax recently announced his departure. Now, Faith is reacting to the news.
Faith Stowers supports Bravo’s decision
The former Vanderpump Rules cast member is happy that Jax Taylor is gone from the show. She caught up with TMZ reporters on Thursday, December 17.
“I mean, honestly, the thing is I’m proud of Bravo because Bravo knew that wasn’t the light they wanted to show,” she said. “They were standing up against people who are just not a good, right fit for Bravo now.”
Faith also shared that she’s just as happy about Stassi and Kristen’s firings. She doesn’t think any of them were the “right fit” for the network. Faith is positive that the firings will lead to better castings in the future. She also says that it “means a lot” to the viewers.
“I’m sure that everyone is proud of Bravo for doing that as well,” she added.
Former Pump Rules star releases statement
Also, a spokesperson for Faith Stowers released a statement on Thursday, December 17. This came after she shared her reaction to TMZ. She’s still in support of Bravo’s decision to continue the show without its original cast members. However, she is not going to wish them any ill will.
“Faith supports Bravo’s decision to move forward without cast members who do not contribute to the network’s values,” her spokesperson told Us Weekly on Thursday. “Faith has nothing but love for her previous costars and wishes them health and happiness.”
The model is “very much looking forward to the next chapter in her life.” Faith is hoping to enter “the fashion space in entertainment.” Her spokesperson teased that the former reality star will be “sharing more with her fans about what this journey will entail.” This comes amid the rumors that Faith wants to have her own Pump Rules type show.
About her Vanderpump Rules journey
Over the summer, Faith Stowers shared her experience on the Bravo series. She was a recurring cast member of VPR. Faith was also involved with Jax, which resulted in a storyline that played out on the show. At the time, Jax was dating Brittany and despite his cheating, she forgave him and stayed with him.
As for Faith, her time on the show was not a good one. Most of the cast members supported Jax at the time. She recalled a time when Stassi and Kristen called the cops on her in 2018 for a crime she did not commit. They even harassed her and made social media remarks about it.
“There was an article on Daily Mail where there was an African American lady,” Faith said in a previous Instagram Live session. “It was a weird photo, so she looked very light-skinned and had these different, weird tattoos. They showcased her, and I guess this woman was robbing people. And they called the cops and said it was me. This is like, a true story. I heard this from actually Stassi during an interview.”
Faith recalled her time on the show amid the Black Lives Matter movement. The nationwide protests gained attention during this year. This resulted in Bravo firing Stassi and Kristen from the show. Also, Max Boyens and Brett Caprioni were fired for their past racist tweets which resurfaced earlier this year.
Vanderpump Rules Season 9 is still on halt due to the coronavirus pandemic.
