‘RHOA’ Alum Claims ABC Wanted Her To Be ‘The Bachelorette’
RHOA alum Kim Zolciak-Biermann revealed that she was approached to become the Bachelorette years ago. She made the shocking revelation during her latest appearance on Heather MacDonald’s Juicy Scoop. It’s hard to imagine a Bravo star on the ABC dating series. But Kim claims it almost happened and it probably would’ve made history.
Kim Zolciak-Biermann almost became the Bachelorette
Bachelor Nation didn’t get to witness the RHOA alum’s Bachelorette season. During the interview, Kim revealed that she was currently in talks to have her own journey.
“I was asked to do The Bachelorette, you know? Like, probably many years ago,” Bustle reported Kim Zolciak-Biermann sharing the reveal to Heather on the podcast in 2018. However, the episode is no longer available for streaming.
“Like, I was in talks with them, oh God, probably 14 years ago. It was a long time ago. Long, Long time ago because [my daughter] Ariana was probably a year or two old,” Kim continued. “I don’t even know how that started, because I wasn’t filming or doing anything. I guess a couple of people that I knew were trying to align that.”
She would have appeared in Season 2 or 3, which were then led by Meredith Phillips and Jen Scheftt respectively. Instead, Kim joined the cast of The Real Housewives of Atlanta in 2008. She tried to launch her pop star career. But instead, she ended up with her spinoff series, Don’t Be Tardy.
She is currently married to Kroy Biermann. In 2018, she revealed that her daughter Brielle could be in the running for The Bachelorette.
“[The Bachelorette] would be so great [for Brielle],” Kim told ET. “Brielle actually has a huge offer going on a similar situation possibly. I just want Brielle to do what makes her happy.”
That same year, Brielle split from boyfriend Michael Kopech after two years of dating. As of right now, she has not yet appeared on The Bachelorette or any other dating competition series. Instead, she shares her dating woes on Instagram.
The former RHOA star appeared on Dancing With the Stars
As per Bustle, Kim revealed on the Juicy Scoop podcast that she “always wanted to be famous.” She had a good feeling it would happen. Kim always had that hunger deep inside of her. Her fame rose as she appeared on RHOA. She went on to appear on another longtime ABC reality series, Dancing With the Stars.
Kim partnered with Tony Dovolani for Season 21. However, she had to leave the competition in the third week after suffering a mini-stroke. Unfortunately, for Kim, her star dimmed a little. She then left RHOA in 2012 in the middle of the fifth season. Don’t Be Tardy is currently in its eight season.
