Instagram took notice of Honey Boo Boo’s stunning weight loss a few weeks ago when she shared a stunning selfie. In the caption of the selfie, the sassy teenage reality TV star declared she would “wife” herself. Her followers were super interested in discussing her weight. And, she was happy to admit she’d been shedding some pounds.
A week ago, she shared a stunning full body selfie.
Just a week ago, Honey Boo Boo took to Instagram again. She shared a stunning full body snap of herself throwing a peace sign into the air. She plastered the word “pretty” in pink word art across the photo. Also, she seized an opportunity to pop off at any haters on her profile. Honey Boo Boo penned in the caption: “you hating but iβm popping regardless.”
As we previously reported, it is clear Honey Boo Boo is hard at work on making health improvements. And, her Instagram followers are wildly obsessed with getting updates on her weight loss. That being said, she also has some Instagram police lurking in the comments. Moreover, she has some followers who just feel weird that the weight loss of a child is even a topic of discussion.
Should Instagram stop obsessing over Honey Boo Boo’s weight loss? That’s what some of her followers seem to think.
Honey Boo Boo’s weight loss update provokes negativity
One individual was quick to point out the comment section “passed the vibe check” in her full body selfie. Others, however, decided to call out what could be best deemed as the Instagram police. Several noted it was a bit of a backhanded statement. In making a comment about passing a vibe check, weren’t they assuming negativity would be looming?

Feeling attacked, the original poster did returned. They noted they didn’t mean for what they said to be negative. They were just trying to be supportive of Honey Boo Boo’s weight loss progress. And, they wanted to make sure no one was coming after her latest update on her journey.
Is acknowledging the lost pounds body shaming?
Honey Boo Boo has followers that do not believe her weight should be a topic of conversation. In fact, they think discussing her weight loss progress is a form of body shaming. Why? Well, they just think it is wrong and unhealthy to even suggest that a child as weight to lose. They worry the comments intended to be positive could be sending the wrong message to Honey Boo Boo.
Maybe her Instagram followers need to stop looking for a weight loss update. And, maybe they should just enjoy whatever Honey Boo Boo posts without turning it into being about her weight.
