Braunwyn Windham-Burke Shares Photo From The Last Time She Drank

Braunwyn Windham-Burke bravely addressed her alcoholism on Season 15 of The Real Housewives of Orange County. She admitted that she’s a recovering alcoholic. Ever since then, she’s shared her journey to sobriety. Fans will get to see more of her journey in the new season.

This season was a difficult one for Braunwyn. There were moments that she’s not proud of. She was in emotional turmoil because she was experiencing withdrawals. And tonight’s episode is no different. Braunwyn will find herself at odds with fellow Housewife Gina Kirschenheiter.

Braunwyn Windham-Burke shares an emotional post

On Wednesday, October 28, just hours before the new episode of RHOC, Brauwnyn Windham-Burke shared an emotional post. She shared two photos. The first one showed Braunwyn standing confidently on rocks along the beach. The reality star wore a black sheer gown.

In the second photo, Braunwyn appeared hungover. She sat in the passenger seat of her car as she tried to keep her head up. She covered her eyes with sunglasses. In the post, the Bravo star revealed the second photo was from the last day she had a drink.

“It’s hard to look back, rewatching tonight’s episode has been something I’ve dreaded since it happened, while the second picture is the last day I had a drink,” Braunwyn captioned the post. “tonight’s episode was my emotional rock bottom, I spiraled that day and almost relapsed…”

Now, she’s seen better days ahead. Braunwyn just celebrated almost nine months of sobriety. In her recent post, she credited her “amazing crew and family” for their support. She then admitted that she won’t be watching tonight’s episode with the rest of the viewers.

It’s still painful for her to look back at some of her behavior. Instead, she concluded her post with the following message: “but know if you’re struggling with addiction you’re not alone, every day I get stronger, so will you.” Braunwyn’s post received over 8,700 likes and over 400 comments. Fans commended her for her strength and bravery.

How has Sean Burke handled her sobriety?

Braunwyn Windham-Burke made another shocking admission. She’s in the midst of rediscovering herself. This led her husband, Sean Burke, to move out of their family home. Braunwyn’s marriage to Sean was rocky in the past, and she was open about that.

The couple admitted that they have threesomes. Braunwyn has revealed that she’s exploring her sexuality but she still loves Sean. In a recent interview with Us Weekly, Braunwyn explained how her sobriety affected her marriage.

“He’s known that I’ve had a problem, but part of the dynamic of our relationship is he’s an enabler and we have a very codependent relationship,” she said. “While I’m getting sober right now, he’s also in his own community support meetings, working on his aspect of it because alcoholism is a family disease.”

Braunwyn admits that “there is a dynamic and we’re working on that.” Sean was also there for her when she had too much to drink. Now that she became sober, he “felt left behind.” Currently, the couple is working on their issues.

“So he’s working in a program, I’m working in a program,” Braunwyn continued. “We both know we have a lot of work to do.”

The couple recently made changes to their relationship. Sean no longer lives with his family. In addition, Braunwyn has someone “new and special” in her life. But she’s not ready to share that part of her life just yet.
