Married Life Hasn’t Been So Easy For Jacob Roloff & Isabel
Despite having a much smaller following than just about anyone else in the Roloff family, Jacob’s wife Isabel is always very candid. And, we know the LPBW alums recently celebrated their one year anniversary together. While no one can deny the duo are very much in love, being married hasn’t been easy for Isabel and Jacob. Wondering what made things so difficult for the lovely couple? Keep reading to find out.
Isabel Roloff suspects the first year of marriage is hard for most.
Jacob’s wife Isabel Roloff kicked off her Instagram post with a little humor. She noted that “It would be disingenuous to pretend like this year has been easy for us.” She, then, jested that 2020 wasn’t really a great year for anyone.
After getting that little bit of ice breaker humor out of the way, things got really serious for Isabel. She admitted that people often say the first year of marriage is the hardest. But, she wasn’t sure how true that statement was for everyone. But, she definitely felt that the statement was true for her and Jacob.
“A lot of change, transitions, and growth has happened this year for our little family. Then add a global pandemic, the loss of family members, devastating wildfires in our home state. There’s been some stressful external factors as well, to say the least.” Isabel continued as she tried to explain why the marriage hasn’t been easy.

Fortunately, it doesn’t sound like the trouble with their first year of marriage had anything to do with their actual relationship. It sounds like it was a lot of outside factors that were weighing them down. Still, they made it through that first year. And, it is clear they really love each other.
Jacob’s wife isn’t interested in sugar coating things.
Jacob’s wife Isabel Roloff made it clear she was interested in speaking the truth without any sugar coating in this post. And, that is just what she did.
No need to sugar coat it, there have been some rough seas; it hasn’t been all smooth sailing. But our love has only deepened from it all.”
Isabel Roloff proceeds to make it clear she sees the brightside in the struggles they’ve endured this year. She feels that her bond with her husband Jacob is stronger because of the difficult first year.

She continued: “I share this because it has become too easy to look at people’s lives online and compare yourself. What you don’t see here are the sometimes difficult conversations and challenging moments had between two people trying to figure things out, just like you are.”
So the next time you want to compare, remember that comparison is the thief of joy. And remember that it’s so much more important to just love your people hard, exactly where they are, than have your life appear a certain way. Focus on how your life feels to you rather than how it looks to anybody else. Everyone has their own journey here, and in the end, ‘we’re all just walking each other home.'”
What did her followers think of her candid post?
Isabel Roloff has just under 100,000 followers on Instagram. Mostly, they all really appreciate how real and raw she gets in her posts. Isabel always seems to pour her entire heart out when she decides to discuss something on social media. And, her followers love seeing that passion in her.

It’s been a tough first year for Isabel and Jacob Roloff. But, they seem to be coming out the other side stronger and even more in love. LPBW fans just wish they’d consider coming back to the show. Unfortunately, that is extremely unlikely. So, for now, we’ll just embrace the Instagram updates.
