Lisa Vanderpump Slammed For Celebrating 60th Birthday Amid Pandemic
Lisa Vanderpump had a lavish 60th birthday party. The Vanderpump Rules boss rang in her birthday in the most spectacular way. She had two birthday cakes and she wore a princess dress. Although her birthday was on September 15th, she waited a few days to share her party on Instagram.
Most fans thought it was a strange affair. Others slammed the restaurateur for celebrating her birthday amid the coronavirus pandemic. In the video, you can tell that it’s quite the party. In the background, people sing “Happy Birthday.”

Lisa Vanderpump has a birthday party during the pandemic
The 60-year-old reality star wasn’t going to stay inside this year. Instead, she decided to have a lavish birthday party outdoors. Lisa Vanderpump took to her Instagram on Saturday, September 19 to post this video of herself blowing out her birthday candles on two birthday cakes.
“A magical birthday with family and my quarantine besties 💕 Thank you @butterloveandhardwork for my stunning cake!” Vanderpump captioned in the post.
But instead of wishing her a “happy birthday,” fans slammed her for throwing a party amid the global outbreak. The video shows two people serenading Vanderpump. She smiles and bends down to blow out the candles. However, it’s unclear how many people were in attendance and whether they were wearing masks.
Fans were not happy with Vanderpump’s post. Some found it over the top. Others thought it was in poor taste with the passing of Ruth Bader-Ginsburg. But most fans were not happy to see Vanderpump celebrating during the pandemic. She’s mostly kept a low-profile, especially since her L.A. establishments were closed due to the pandemic.

Vanderpump responded gracefully to the backlash. She explained to a follower that she and her husband Ken have been living with Nick Alain and her daughter, Pandora. So, it wasn’t a big affair as it may have looked.

Lisa Vanderpump made sure she had her choice of desserts to choose from on her special day. The first was a two-tiered, floral cake wrapped in pink roses and sprigs of baby’s breath. The second choice was a round cake covered in blueberries and raspberries. Both desserts featured white frosting and tall white candles.

As fans know, Vanderpump loves all things pink, floral, and sparkly. Last year’ she had a dinner birthday thrown, which had a similar pink floral theme. But she really topped this event by wearing her own wedding gown to her party.
