Demi Lovato Fans Criticize Max Ehrich Over His Old Tweets
Demi Lovato fans are concerned for the singer. They found out some concerning details about her fiance Max Ehrich. His old tweets have resurfaced and gone viral over the weekend. The Young and the Restless actor got backlash over his comments about Selena Gomez.
However, it’s unclear whether the tweets are real. There are whispers that some of Max’s tweets are Photoshopped. However, the majority of his tweets are real and are still up on his Twitter account. Fans obviously want what’s best for Demi and want to make sure she’s marrying the right man.
Demi got engaged to Max after a few months of dating and quarantining together.
Fans criticize Max Ehrich after his old tweets resurface
There is immense concern for Demi Lovato. Fans dug up Max Ehrich’s old tweets, which have gone viral over the weekend. Most of his comments are about Demi’s former BFF Selena Gomez.
He gushed over the pop star and said he wants to marry her someday. In other tweets, Max disses Demi’s looks and singing chops. Here are just some of his alleged old tweets:
- “Hahahaha Selena Gomez and Demi are cute together but boy if you think Demi is prettier… you’re WRONG!”
- “There’s a female singer that screams so much that’s why my girl is better than you know who!”
In addition, an old interview has resurfaced. Back in 2010, Max spoke to Pop Star about his dream girl. He seemed smitten by the Rare Beauty founder. The former soap star expressed an interest in doing everything with Selena.

“Selena Gomez. I want to work with her so bad,” the then-19-year-old said at the time. “She’s so funny and I think her comedic timing and everything is so fantastic. I just heard her song the other day and she’s so talented. She’s a great singer also. I’d love to sing with her. I’d love to act with her. She’s so awesome.”
There’s also video proof of Max gushing over Selena.
This comes after fans accused Demi of having a fake Instagram account used to shade Selena. Back in April, the hashtag #DemiLovatoisOverParty trended after users posted screenshots from what they claimed to be from Demi’s account.

The former Disney stars aren’t friends
That same month, Demi Lovato revealed to Harper’s Bazaar that she’s no longer friends with Selena Gomez. She also seemingly threw shade at Selena for the comment she left on Demi’s Instagram after the 2020 Grammy Awards. Selena left the following comment on Demi’s Instagram post:
“I wish there were words to describe how beautiful, inspirational and DESERVED this moment was,” Selena wrote. “Demi I’m so happy for you. Thank you for your courage and bravery.”
But in her interview with Harper’s Bazaar, Demi revealed they’re no longer friends anymore.
“When you grow up with somebody, you’re always going to have love for them. But I’m not friends with her, so [the Instagram post] felt…” Demi trailed offer before adding, “I will always have love for her, and I wish everybody nothing but the best.”
During that interview, Demi revealed she is still friendly with Miley Cyrus. So fans are happy to hear that news.
Demi Lovato “loved” Max Ehrich the first night they met
Demi Lovato revealed that their quarantine love kicked off from the start. She opened up about their fast-paced relationship. The 28-year-old made a virtual appearance on SiriusXM’s The Morning Mash Up. The full interview will air on Monday, September 14. Demi admits she won Max over with her cooking and her big heart.
“We started dating. We immediately went into quarantine…I was like, ‘look, we’re quarantining together. Um, cause I love you,'” Demi explained. “So we started doing that.”
Demi also revealed that Max was the first man she “ever really wanted to cook for her.” She exclaimed that she’s “blessed” to have found him. Max and Demi got engaged on July 23. The couple shared their romantic beach photos taken by her friend and photographer Angelo Kritikos. So far, they seem to be doing great.
