Jamie Otis On Postpartum Depression: ‘Holding Myself Together’

Jamie Otis of The Bachelor and Married at First Sight has always been honest on social media. She gets real about life’s ups and downs, and she isn’t afraid to share about the bad days. Her social media followers seem to appreciate everything that she shares. Now, she’s opening up about her postpartum depression again.

Jamie and her husband Doug Hehner had their second child three months ago. They named him Hendrix. He joins big sister Gracie. The road to having their children wasn’t easy, and they experienced losses along the way. So, Jamie seems to be even more grateful to have healthy kids now.

Of course, with pregnancy and motherhood come all kinds of challenges. One that she often shares about is postpartum depression. She seems to try to stay positive though. She recently showed off her postpartum body and talked about how much more confident she is this time around.

In a new social media post, Jamie shared side-by-side photos of herself pregnant with Hendrix and holding him now. The first photo was taken when she was nine months pregnant, and the second was taken when Hendrix was two months old.

She writes, “I knew I loved you before I met you.”

In a comment on this post, a fan asks her about her postpartum depression. They are curious about how she’s doing now. She writes, “ahhh, to be honest … im kinda just holding myself together …. but aren’t we all?! 🤷🏼‍♀️💗 thanks for asking! So sweet of you!🙏🏻

In another recent Instagram post, Jamie Otis asks her followers if they have ever felt “mom guilt” once they’ve had their second child. Hendrix only joined their family a few months ago, so the Married at First Sight couple is still adjusting to all the changes a new baby brings.

Jamie includes a few photos of Gracie giving herself a makeover. This post is also an advertisement for laundry detergent.

Jamie writes, “I feel like SO much of my time goes to Hendrix and I don’t want Gracie to feel forgotten.” Plenty of Jamie’s followers understand where she’s coming from and are offering her some advice. Many of them are recommending special one-on-one time with Gracie.

Jamie’s followers seem to think she’s a great mom though. They are reassuring her that she’s doing a good job.
