‘VPR’: Scheana Shay Halts Pregnancy Plans After Devastating Miscarriage
Scheana Shay is doing what’s best for her. The Vanderpump Rules star is holding off her pregnancy plans. This comes after she suffered a devastating miscarriage. Scheana also admitted that seeing some of her friends pregnant was hard.
Her miscarriage was “a lot to process.” She’s still dealing with the emotional after effects of it. But Scheana wanted to share her miscarriage because she wanted to tell her story, in her own way. Makes sense for a reality star who received a bad edit during Season 8 of Vanderpump Rules. Now, Scheana is sharing an update on her pregnancy journey and what’s next for her.
Vanderpump Rules star wants to “hold off” on getting pregnant again
Scheana Shay is doing what’s right for her during this time. She’s currently holding off on her plans to get pregnant. As fans know, Scheana underwent egg retrieval to freeze her eggs since she had a hard time getting pregnant. In a special Q&A session for her “Scheananigans with Scheana Shay” podcast, the host revealed when she will continue the conception process again with boyfriend Brock Davies.
“A lot of people have been asking, like, ‘Oh, are you going to start trying again?’ As much as I’m at the point where my doctor has said I am cleared to, if I want to and my body is ready, I think we’re gonna hold off a bit,” Scheana said, as quoted by Us Weekly. “We’re not in a rush, you know. It wasn’t planned.”

Scheana calls that moment “a beautiful miscarriage.” Now, the couple wants to focus on the next step in their lives together. As TV Shows Ace reported, Scheana and Brock moved to San Diego. But they don’t know if that’s the perfect place for their future child. She’s not sure if the neighborhood is safe is enough. And she’s not sure if she’ll start filming Vanderpump Rules again.
Scheana Shay talks about the uncertainty of her future
The “Good as Gold” singer admitted there’s “so much up in the air right now.” Scheana Shay feels “it’s better to just wait a little bit” until it’s the right time to have a baby. She also feels that it was a “smart decision” to push-off her work-related projects, including the ones that “require travel and certain activities” that she wouldn’t be able to do if pregnant. But Scheana is not actively trying for a baby right now.
“We’re not trying, we’re just like you know what? If it happens, it happens,” Scheana continued. “But we’re being careful, because I just think getting settled in the new place and figuring out what’s going on with our work is our first step.”

In late June, Scheana revealed on her podcast that she miscarried after six weeks. She celebrated Brock’s birthday that same month. Though she initially planned to share the news to her father on Father’s Day weekend, she started bleeding. After a follow-up doctor’s appointment and ultrasound, the couple learned the baby’s heartbeat wasn’t detected.
