Osbournes Have Trouble Keeping New Show ‘Family Friendly’
The Osbournes are back in action on the Travel Channel as their new show The Osbournes Want to Believe airs this week. The show has Jack Osbourne showing his parents clips from around the world that “prove” the existence of the supernatural, extraterrestrial and mythical. We hear Big Foot is going to be making an appearance.
The Skeptics
Ozzy and Sharon both admit to being skeptical about the existence of the supernatural. Ozzy said in an interview that he “takes it with a pinch of salt”. He said when he sees footage that shows “evidence of ghosts” he is always looking for the tricks or wires. Ozzy admits, “I couldn’t believe [the footage],” and, “It defies explanation.” When asked what he thought about Jack being a ghost hunter Ozzy sarcastically replied, “He is the son of the Prince of Darkness.”
Sharon is just as skeptical as her husband. She said, “I don’t not, but until I actually see something myself, it’s like with aliens, people say, ‘Do you believe in them?’ I’m like, eh, I don’t know. Until I see them, then I’ll say, ‘Yeah, I believe.’ But I don’t not believe either.” Sharon’s stance on the supernatural is surprising because she admits to having not one but two out-of-body experiences.
Jack’s goal during the show was to convince his parents that there are things that cannot be explained away. He said, “I don’t know why they don’t believe in stuff, but that’s the whole front of the show is trying to convince them”. Jack also said that while his parents were “about even” when it came to their skepticism, but after really talking to them they are not complete skeptics.

The Humor
Ozzy and Sharon have their own particular brand of humor, but that got them into trouble while filming. This show is going to be on the Travel Channel. Because of this the trio needed to make sure to keep the content as “family friendly” as possible. Ozzy admitted the family had trouble “everyday”. Sharon pointed to Ozzy in particular and had to tell him, “Stop swearing.”
Jack is no stranger to the requirements of the Travel Channel because his show Portals to Hell. The show will start airing Season 2 in August. He said that he didn’t know if they would “get away” with some things because of “red flags” during filming. But they tried to keep the show as clean as possible.
What’s Next for the Osbournes
The Osbournes had a tough 2019. Ozzy was diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease. Ozzy also had to have three surgeries after a fall injured his neck and spine. He is doing better and said, “I’m feeling better every day.” Ozzy is really looking forward to getting back out on the road to perform shows. He said, “I can’t wait. Pandemic or not.” Sharon showed her support by adding, “If I have to I’ll wheel him on”. But even if we have to wait to see Ozzy on stage; we can watch the new A&E documentary: The Nine Lives of Ozzy Osbourne coming out on Labor Day of this year. Sharon and Jack are not going to be idol either. Sharon will still be hosting her show The Talk, and Jack has Portals to Hell episodes to film.
