‘RHOBH’ Star Denise Richards Is Just As Fit As She Was Back In 1999
Denise Richards spends most of her time running away from her Real Housewives of Beverly Hills castmates. Thankfully, she has plenty of energy for that. She is just as fit as she was during her Bond film The World Is Not Enough, back in 1999. That’s because the reality star makes time for health and fitness.
Denise made the switch after viewers noticed her enlarged thyroid during a reunion episode of the show. Nowadays, she’s all about health. She lives a gluten-free lifestyle. She also makes an effort to exercise as much as possible. Some of her favorite workouts include Pilates and dance. Find out some other ways that Denise likes to stay in shape.
Denise Richards shares her top two favorite exercises
The RHOBH star credits Pilates for her incredible body. It involves controlled and slow movements that challenge your muscles. Denise Richards says that it’s her favorite workout. She’s tried everything and her body doesn’t respond as well to them.
“I have tired everything out there you can imagine – weights, classes, everything, and for me, the best thing my body responds to is Pilates,” Denise shared with HuffPost.
But that’s not all. Denise loves to take walks. She has to get her steps in, especially in Malibu where she’s close to the beach. Walking is an effective and simple workout that anyone can do. As per Women’s Health, one mile burns around 100 calories.
While Denise works out hard, she also knows when to rest. Back in April, she underwent surgery to treat four hernias. The Wild Things star shared the lesson she learned about taking care of herself.

“It was a real wake up call for me, reminding me to listen to my body & it’s ok to take care of myself,” Denise wrote on Instagram. “Because when the Captain goes down the ship goes down.”
When she’s not doing Pilates or taking walks, she can be seen hiking. She posted a photo of herself taking a hike through the Montana mountains on Earth Day. As per BravoTV, Denise loves the area so much that she and her husband, Aaron Phypers will move there sometime soon. She also keeps her shape by dancing.
“I don’t like gyms or running. I love dance and Pilates,” Denise told New Beauty back in 2013. “It gives my body a long, lean look.”
She also took dance classes with her former Dancing with the Stars partner Louis Van Amstel at Canyon Ranch.
RHOBH star shares her quarantine workout
Back in April, Denise Richards shared her at-home workouts. She does usual workouts like lunges and workout ropes. But she also burns calories when she cleans her home. In an interview with HollywoodLife.com, she said “I have also been organizing our closets, kitchen cupboards, and deep cleaning our baseboards – all of which is quite a workout!”
Denise has also stocked up on the goods. She told the outlet that she and her family love to make “stews and vegan soups.” As TV Shows Ace previously revealed, Denise went back to eating meat. In her interview with Women’s Health, she said she made some changes to her diet, including removing gluten and reintroducing meat after years of vegetarianism.

“I would say 90 percent of my diet is gluten-free and I definitely do notice the difference,” Denise said. “I grew up in the Midwest, and we ate meat, potatoes, and pasta, so I enjoy all of that.”
Denise Richards would rather eat in moderation. Check her out on RHOBH on Wednesday nights at 9 p.m. ET on Bravo.
