Bella Twins’ Mother Recovering From Brain Surgery
We are so thankful this situation wasn’t worse! Kathy Laurinaitis, the mother of Nikki and Brie Bella, successfully underwent surgery to remove a mass on her brain this week. Nikki Bella took to Instagram to thank fans for their concern and to update everyone on their mother’s condition. Kathy Laurinaitis and her husband John often appear on the twins’ reality show, Total Bellas.

Mama Bella’s Surgery
The surgery took a little longer than initially anticipated, according to Nikki. The surgeons wanted to be sure they completely removed the mass. The mass could be fatal if surgeons did not remove it all, says Nikki. Fortunately, everything went according to plan and it seems that Kathy will be just fine. Kathy and John have two more grandchildren on the way. They will need all the energy they can muster.
Nikki Bella is expecting her first child with fiance Artem Chigvintsev. Total Bellas fans were so excited to watch Nikki reveal her pregnancy in the show’s season finale earlier this month. Brie Bella is also expecting. This will be her second child with her husband, Daniel Bryan. Brie’s first child, Birdie Joe Danielson, was born in 2017.
Kathy seems very excited to welcome her new grandchildren. She wrote on Instagram, “It’s a boy….secret is out…we are over the moon.” The picture was from Nikki’s gender reveal party. We are happy the family threw their gender reveal party before the Coronavirus crisis really set in. A gender reveal party is very risky in the new normal.
The family expresses Coronavirus fears
The Bella twins discuss Coronavirus fears in their most recent podcast. Nikki and Bella are both due this month, so they’ve been spending the bulk of their time inside, resting comfortably and safely. The vast majority of us feel a little stir crazy these days. We think it’s safe to say the twins are feeling some of that too. In the podcast, Nikki declares that she’s “sick of being inside.” Brie worries that her daughter, Birdie, isn’t getting enough social interaction these days.
They may be bored, like many of us, but the Bellas know how important it is to stay inside and social distance from others, especially the most vulnerable. Their mother is now part of the at-risk group as a result of her medical condition. Hopefully, the pandemic will end soon and the family can all freely socialize together again.
We hope that Nikki and Brie will have a safe delivery. When the dust settles and the world returns to normal, we hope that Mama Bella will have plenty of energy to play with her new grandchildren. This has not been an easy time for anyone, but we can all hold on to hope for now.
