Chrishell Stause Uses 2020 Meme To Joke About Justin Hartley Split
Chrishell Stause had an incredibly difficult year, but she’s not letting it get to her. Instead, she has a great sense of humor about her split from Justin Hartley. The Selling Sunset star joked about it in a new Instagram post on Sunday, June 7.
This comes after one of her costars said she’s staying strong after her split. Despite her heartache, she’s been “doing a lot better” after their split in November 2019. Each day, Chrishell gets stronger than ever. She’s using her sense of humor to reflect back on the heartache she’s had.

Chrishell Stause isn’t letting anything get her down, per Us Weekly. The reality star poked a little fun at herself over her split from Justin Hartley via Instagram on Saturday, June 7. In a new Instagram post, the 38-year-old shared a meme that showed two photos. The first photo, titled “My Plans,” features a promo shot from her Netflix series where she looks glam and happy. The second photo shows a screenshot of her crying on the show with the title “2020.”
In the caption, Chrishell wrote, “If you can’t laugh at yourself, many people will do it for you!”

Selling Sunset teased the emotional scene last month. In the preview clip, the announcer revealed that Chrishell is going through major “change.” It was around the time that her husband, This Is Us star Justin Hartley, filed for divorce.
“I’m just kind of in shock with it all,” Chrishell says in the clip. A friend asks her, “He just blindsided you?” She just nods and cries. Chrishell received massive support for her humorous Instagram post. Even Dancing With the Stars pro dancer Emma Slater responded with the following comment, “Amazing attitude! Love you on the show!”
Chrishell Stause is “doing a lot better” after Justin Hartley split
Last month, Selling Sunset co-star Mary Fitzgerald told People that Chrishell Stause is doing well. She revealed that the former soap actress is “doing a lot better.” She even mentioned that she’s developed a sense of humor.
“She’s such a strong woman, I wouldn’t have been able to go through it like she did in the public eye, but she’s very strong, and she’s just so down-to-earth and a trustworthy person, which is hard to find here in L.A.,” Mary said.
Back in December, an inside source revealed to People the details behind her divorce. While the couple had their issues, she never thought it would come to this point. This is the reason why Chrishell never got married in the past.

While she was in a series of long-term relationships, she didn’t want to take the next step because she was unsure about getting married. Of course, marriage meant a lot to her because “it would be forever.” Chrishell thought for sure that she would be married to Justin forever.
“It’s partly why she and Justin waited so long to get married; she wanted to be sure that when they said their vows, they meant them,” the insider continued. “And she did – she would have stayed forever.”
Chrishell is the only one to speak out about the divorce. Justin has yet to say anything. She previously told Us Weekly that while “transitions are hard,” she’s grateful that “there is a lot to focus on right now.”
