Per The Blast, Sofia Richie took to Instagram to share the following quote from Nelson Mandela. “No one person is born hating another because of the colour of his skin, his background or his religion,” the quote read. “People learn to hate and if learn to hate they can be taught to love, for love comes more naturally to the human heart than its opposite.”
The quote comes from Mandela’s 1994 autobiography titled, Long Walk to Freedom. It chronicles his coming of age, education, early life, and 27 years in prison. Richie followed up with another black-and-white photo that read, “To our Black brothers and sisters. We see you, we hear you and we stand with you. #BlackLivesMatter.”
