‘Letterkenny’ Season 9 Hulu Release Expected In June 2020
Letterkenny Season 9 is predicted to have a Hulu release date next month in June of 2020. It, however, is important to keep in mind this is nothing more than a prediction at this time. Neither Hulu nor the official Twitter account for Letterkenny has confirmed the release date for Season 9. Letterkenny Season 9 was never confirmed by Hulu, technically.
Now, allegedly, most of that might not sound like very good news. But, it isn’t all bad! In fact, here’s everything we’ve been able to dig up about the Season 9 Hulu release date of Letterkenny.
Pitter patter!
The History of Letterkenny
Letterkenny is a Canadian comedy created by Jared Keeso and Jacob Tierney. The series tells the story of two friends who live in a town named Letterkenny. Most of the comedy in the series stems from the duo’s interactions with each other and the rest of the community.
The series originally premiered back in February of 2016 on a Canadian network called Crave. Winning multiple awards, the series found a home on Hulu. The streaming giant picked up two seasons of the series that debuted on July 13 of 2018. Letterkenny was a huge hit with the U.S. audience Hulu subscribers. They took to social media in waves to beg Hulu to pick up more episodes of the series.
So, what did Hulu do? Well, they listened to their subscribers. They picked up Letterkenny. They claimed exclusive rights to the series. Labeled as a Hulu Original… Hulu released Season 8 in December of last year.
Now, it has been five months and fans have watched and rewatched Season 8 many times.
Naturally, fans want to know when and if they will get a Season 9?
What do we know about Letterkenny Season 9?
Fortunately, Hulu subscribers can rest easy knowing Season 9 is extremely likely. After all, it wouldn’t have made much sense for Hulu to pick up the series as an Original eight seasons in and not make additional seasons. More importantly, Jared himself let it slip that there were more episodes to look forward to.
Back in August of 2018, Jared Keeso revealed Letterkenny would produce 40 more episodes of the series. According to TheCinemaholic, Season 5 had already been released at the time. So, it is just a matter of doing a little math.
Between Season 6, 7, and 8 there are 19 episodes total. So, this means there are 21 episodes that have yet to be released. Keeping to their normal pattern, these 21 episodes will likely stretch out for three more seasons.

This means in addition to a Season 9, fans will also get a Season 10 and a Season 11.
Moreover, Jared also indirectly confirmed the three season theory during an interview.
“40 episodes means job security for the next three years. The fact I didn’t have that for my first 10 years in this business is not lost on me.” He said.
Does Season 9 have a Hulu release date?
As we mentioned previously, Season 9 does not have a confirmed Hulu release date at this time. Now, fans of the series know Season 8 dropped into the library much earlier than it was expected. This, however, does not mean that Season 9 will do the same.
Those who follow the series closely predict Season 9 will drop into the Hulu library during June of 2020.

There is also some chatter on a Reddit thread from a few months ago that predicts July of 2020. The individual explains it is a tradition to release it on “Canada day.” And… “You don’t f*** with tradition.”
So, fans can rest easy knowing there will be a Season 9 of Letterkenny. While the Hulu release date is unclear… Many suspect it will drop sometime within the next two months.
