‘Duck Dynasty’ Shooting: Sadie Robertson Shares Update On Her Family
Duck Dynasty star Sadie Robertson shared an update on her family. She assured fans that the Robertson family is fine after a drive-by shooting that took place at their home. The scary incident took place on Friday, April 24 at 2:30 p.m. Willie Robertson was not present at the time of the shooting.
But, Korie and Sadie were there. Willie and Korie’s son John Luke Robertson and his wife, Mary Kate McEarchern, and their 18-month-old son were also present at the home, as well as Sadie’s husband, Christian Huff. Willie told USA Today that the shooting took place in “broad daylight” and shook up the entire family.
Sadie Robertson gives update on Duck Dynasty drive-by shooting
According to a Monday, April 27 news report, the Ouachita Paris Sheriff’s Office in Monroe, Louisiana arrested a man named Daniel King Jr. The 38-year-old man was responsible for the drive-by shooting. He was charged with one count of aggravated assault and one count of criminal neglect of family. His bond is currently set at $150,000.
According to Us Weekly, Sadie Robertson took to Instagram to share an update with followers. The Live Original blogger started off her post by writing that the news reports were true. There was a drive-by shooting at their family home in Louisiana. Sadie revealed that the Robertson family is doing “OK” despite the scary incident.

“It shook us all up of course, but we are just so thankful everyone in our family is okay,” Sadie wrote. “Especially after one of the bullets flew through the window of my brothers home [sic].”
Some of the family members were inside the home at the time of the shooting. Sadie revealed they’ve been reading Psalm 91 and counting their blessings. She ended her Instagram post by thanking her followers for their prayers during this difficult time.

The former Duck Dynasty star sat down for an exclusive interview on the Today show. Sadie and Christian got married at the Robertson family home in November 2019. A few months later, the couple welcomed a new fur baby into their family. In a special episode of Today’s “My Pet Tale,” Sadie says she’s happy that their Maltipoo, Cabo, will become a part of their family.
“Cabo is the cutest dog ever. She really is. But because she’s really cute, she is crazy. Maybe a little spoiled,” Sadie said with a laugh.

Their adorable dog weighs in at just four pounds. Her favorite thing about Cabo is whenever she takes naps because she “naps hard.” Their delightful little dog plays just as hard as well. Sadie and Christian have been sharing adorable snapshots of this fluffy family member on their respective Instagram accounts.
Sadie admitted she wasn’t sure if she wanted a dog at first. Christian mentioned to her that he always wanted to own a Maltese. Some of his family members owned one and he fell in love with that breed. That’s when Sadie decided to look for dogs nearby. When she found Cabo, she fell in love. She knew she wanted to give the dog a forever home.

Sadie Robertson and Christian Huff are still in the honeymoon period. The couple often praises each other on social media. They also have many date nights, even amid the covornavirus pandemic. Since they’re enjoying married life, they’re not in a hurry to have children anytime soon.
