Blac Chyna Is Slammed For Charging Fans For FaceTime Calls And Instagram Follows

Blac Chyna

Blac Chyna, formerly of Keeping Up With the Kardashians and Rob & Chyna receives backlash for charging fans to interact with her, reports PEOPLE.

How can you get in touch with Blac Chyna?

For about $1k ($950 to be exact) fans can FaceTime with the American model and founder of Lashed Cosmetics. Unfortunately, Chyna did not include the length of the FaceTime call or when the call would happen. The description on her website reads, “Get a FT call from me personal [sic]!”

Additionally, for a follow back on Instagram, fans can pay $250.  Someone on behalf of China writes, “Following back on IG add your user name in the address line. Please allow 24-48 hours for her to follow you back. Thank you.”

Luckily for Blac Chyna super fans, her website offers payment installments with QUADPAY. For a FaceTime call that is four interest-free payments of $237. For a follow back, fans can make four interest-free payments of $62.50.

Chyna’s lawyer tells PEOPLE, “Yes, Blac Chyna is connecting more directly and creatively with her vans via FaceTime and Instagram follow back during the COVID-19 pandemic! Like the true entrepreneur she is, Chyna is adapting to current realities and trying to bring more fun and joy to quarantine life.”

How do the ‘Chyna Dolls’ feel?

Fans are quick to express their distaste towards Chyna’s latest business endeavor. One social media user writes on Twitter, “Lmaooo Blac Chyna really charging $950 for a FaceTime call a $250 for a follow back!” And another tweet, “Blac Chyna charging $950 for u to FaceTime her… Y’all are sick if u pay that.”

Meanwhile, some fans came to Chyna’s defense. “I just don’t see why everyone is judging Blac Chyna for charging people for FaceTime sessions and to have her follow them. She’s using her fame to make coins and I’m not mad,” writes a fan. Ultimately, Chyna’s lawyer tells the media, “Chyna looks forward to FaceTiming with her ‘Chyna Doll’ fans from around the world and to following fans on IG who want to share their lives with her!”

Is The Lashed Cosmetics Founder in Financial Despair?

Fans may wonder if Chyna is in financial despair given the high cost of her communication with fans. Chyna’s lawyer also tells PEOPLE, “Chyna’s quarantine-related creativity is also born out of economic necessity. Despite many false media reports to the contrary, Chyna receives no child support from either Rob Kardashian or Tyga for her two beautiful children, Dream Kardashian, and King Cairo Stevenson.”

Like fuel to a fire, the lawyer goes on to say, “To make matters worse, Rob and his family have filed false accusations that Chyna is an unfit mother and are trying to take away Chyna’s custody of her precious daughter, Dream.” This may be in reference to the accusation that Chyna does drugs.

Rob Kardashian says, “I did not think that Chyna’s threats and physical attacks were funny or a joke, and of course I never consented to her violently attacking me or threatening to harm me,” he said, adding, “I believed that she could kill me, intentionally or because she [was] in such a drunken/high state that she could slip up and shoot me accidentally.”

In continuing his statement Chyna’s lawyer brings to light the monetary need for Chyna to charge for fan interaction. He also does this while presumably throwing shade at Kylie Jenner. He says,”these unwarranted custody battles are not cheap- and unlike a certain allegedly ‘self-made’ billionaire in Rob’s family, Chyna is truly a self-made single mom who must keep finding unique ways to connect with her fans during this unprecedented global pandemic.” Read more about the custody battles here.
