‘The Bachelor’ News: How is Colton Underwood After Coronavirus Reveal?

Colton and Cassie Coronavirus Update

On Friday, March 20, 2020, Colton Underwood of Season 14 of Bachelor posted on Instagram that he tested positive for coronavirus. The next day, People reports an update given by his girlfriend, Cassie Randolph. As previously reported by TV Shows Ace, Colton and Cassie broke social distancing quarantine.

Where It All Started

Just five days prior to his diagnosis confirmation, Colton is seen (below) promoting one of the CDC’s top preventative tips: wash your hands. Colton informs his fans, “I want you guys to know: I’m 28, I consider myself pretty healthy, I work out regularly, I eat healthy, and I became symptomatic a few days ago, got my test results back today, and they are positive.”

Fans asked Cassie where Colton contracted the virus, and she writes, “At this point, it could have been anywhere that he was in the past 2 weeks. Whether it be from a stranger that he touched the same door handles as, or from a friend, someone in the family…”

Latest From Cassie (and Colton)

Cassie Randolph and Colton Underwood both advise that they’ve practiced social distancing for a week. Once Colton got a positive diagnosis, the whole family is in quarantine at the Randolph home.  Cassie writes, “If we have it probably a lot of other people out there have it too even if they haven’t been tested for it. So treat yourself like you do have it,” she encourages fans.

In her Instagram story, Cassie says, “We’re all making sure to take very good care of ourselves and staying healthy. We’re trying to one, stay positive, two, take a lot of vitamins, and get a lot of sleep.”

How is Colton faring as the only confirmed coronavirus patient in the Randolph house? Cassie tells fans that he is quarantined to the third story. She is “taking care of him by bringing him anything he needs. I disinfect myself every time I leave him. But I’m not ‘hanging out’ up there, per se- unfortunately.”

Colton admits this, “It’s been kicking my ass, just to put it pretty bluntly. The main thing is I can’t even walk up a flight of stairs without being out of breath or to go to the bathroom without having to sit down because I’m exhausted.”

First-Hand Advice

Colton Underwood and Cassie share the same message- they want everyone to stay home. Colton says,

“So I guess the reason I’m sharing this is not to cause fear or panic, but to hopefully encourage you guys to stay home, do your part, take care of yourselves, take care of one another… I just want to encourage everyone to stay at home. Stay in your house and do your part and take care of one another”
