Duggar Cousin Amy King Prepares For Coronavirus Outbreak

Duggar cousin Amy King recently took to her Instagram Stories to discuss the coronavirus. Amy King confirmed she was making the necessary preparations to keep her family safe. This included stocking up on groceries and other supplies. She explained that she wanted to be ready to stay in the home for a while if things take a turn for the worse.

Some Duggar fans took issue with the way Amy King went about her announcement.

It was about 10 hours ago that Duggar cousin Amy King confirmed she was prepared for the worst. Duggar fans, however, were not too happy with how she shared this info. Amy King shared a snap with a black background and thick white lettering.

“Am I the only one storing up groceries, water & supplies just in case of coronavirus gets worse?” Amy King penned in the snap.

The photo also featured an animated man wearing a yellow safety suit and blue rubber gloves. Her post also included a small face mask with “mask for sick people” around it. There was also a small bottle of hand soap off to the other side with “wash your hands” written on it in colorful letters.

The Instagram Stories post doubled as a poll. She encouraged her followers to vote “yes” or “no” in response to her question. According to the poll results, she was fairly alone in her virus prep. The results showed 80 percent of her following said “no” and just 20 percent said “yes.”

How did Duggar fans (and trolls) feel about this PSA?

One Duggar group on Facebook featured individuals slamming Amy King for her PSA. Most found her declaration to be a bit confusing. They questioned if she really believed she was the only one preparing for a virus. Because Amy King’s announcement was made via Instagram Stories the comments were not made directly on the platform so she could read them. We have, however, compiled some screenshots.

The overwhelming majority found Amy King’s coronavirus PSA to be a little on the naive side. Did she truly think she was the only one bulking up on supplies “just in case”?
