‘NCIS’ Season 17: What Ziva Reunions Should Fans Expect In Episode 2?
On Thursday, Wilmer Valderrama posted a video of the NCIS team telling fans thank you for making their show number one this week. Of course, this first episode of Season 17, entitled “Out Of The Darkness,” was the long awaited return of Cote de Pablo as Ziva David. This was just the beginning. NCIS fans should expect more Ziva action in episode 2 as Ziva only reunited with Gibbs in the first episode.

Ziva Reunion With NCIS Team?
During the first episode of NCIS Season 17, “Out of the Darkness,” Ziva David (Cote de Pablo) and Leroy Jethro Gibbs (Mark Harmon) spend the entire episode trying to escape Sahar, a woman that is trying to kill Gibbs and get to Ziva. Shockingly, Ziva does not appear to be the same agent. She’s taking anxiety pills and trusting contacts that are not part of the NCIS team. Of course, being a target and separated from her daughter Tali and Tony has taken a toll on her.
Although the whole team now knows that Ziva is alive, what fans may have wished for was a reunion between Ziva and McGee (Sean Murray), Jimmy (Brian Dietzen) and Vance (Rocky Carroll). Most of all, fans may have wished for a first official meeting between Ziva and Bishop (Emily Wickersham), the agent who replaced her and kept her secret.
Most of all, is Ziva still considered an NCIS agent?
Ziva Goes Into The Light With Fellow Agents
While we can assume that Ziva is not still an agent, we do know she will meet the agents who came after Ziva left. Torres may relate the most to her situation, as he had gone deep undercover. But, with Bishop, there may be a special bond forming between the two agents. Ellie Bishop knew about Ziva’s return. In the first episode, “Out of the Darkness,” Ellie suffered a lot of fallout from her fellow agents and from Director Vance for keeping Ziva’s secret. She has yet to hear what Gibbs has to say about her keeping this secret!
Then, there is the highly anticipated reunion between Ziva and McGee. How will he react to this Ziva? She is an agent that works alone, popping anxiety pills. And will he find the need to tell Tony?
What was it like for Cote de Pablo to meet Wilmer Valderrama (Torres) and Emily Wickersham? She told Rachael Ray that they were both “very sweet,” and they both made her feel “welcome.” She did point out that Michael was no longer there. Michael as in Weatherly, the guy who played Ziva’s partner and father of her child Tali. Could there be a Ziva-Tony reunion this season?
