The sad news is out today about Sean Milliken of My 600-lb. LifeTMZ shared the news that he passed away at the age of just 29-years-old. TLC put out a statement after his death saying, “TLC expresses its deepest sympathies to Sean’s friends and family at this difficult time.”

What happened to Sean Milliken?

His father Matt went to Facebook to reveal the news that Sean Milliken had passed away. He died on Sunday, but the news just came out. Sean was at the hospital when it happened. His dad said, “he was having problems with his breathing, they were able to resuscitate him and a short time later his heart stopped.” His reason for being in the hospital was an infection that was causing him issues.

At one time, Sean got up to 900 lbs. During his high school years, he was about 400 lbs. It turns out that he was actually bedridden at one point. The odd thing is Sean had shared that he wanted to go to Texas and see if he could get weight loss surgery done. Nobody seems to know if he ever got it done or not.

Who is Sean?

His episode aired back in 2016 on TLC. The channel caught up with him a few years later and he was dealing with losing his mother. A lot of people don’t know much about him seeing that he was only on that one episode. You can find videos of him on YouTube and the picture below shows what Sean looked like when he was on the show.

It is very sad that he lost his life at this young age. Fans are happy that his dad was nice enough to share the news with everyone so they would at least know about this loss. He is not the first star of this show to pass away either. Many of them have been able to lose weight and get their lives back again. Because of My 600-lb Life, a lot of people are not bedridden anymore, which has changed their lives.
