Off-camera, Frank seemed to be feuding with his long-time partner and once close friend, Mike Wolfe. It’s unclear if the feud was the reason why he was cut from the show, but fans have speculated that it played a part. Unfortunately for the History Channel, they seemed to pick the wrong horse to back. Because ratings tanked after Frank was cut loose.

Rumors began circulating this week that Frank was going to be brought back to the show. On the History Channel’s official social media accounts for American Pickers, they have been sharing old videos featuring Frank. Fans have speculated that it’s a sign they plan to bring Frank back, but the network has not confirmed anything official.

With Frank Fritz’s future with the show a mystery, fans have moved on to former guests that they would accept as his replacement.

Recently, fans have begun asking the network to choose antique store owner Pat Regis to replace Frank. He has appeared on the show multiple times. His knowledgeable demeanor and charismatic personality make him a shoo-in to fill in for Frank. He made another appearance on Wednesday night’s episode, which renewed calls for the show’s producers to pick Pat.

And on top of being someone who really knows his stuff, he gets along well with Mike. That kind of on-screen chemistry is rare, and American Pickers fans are eager for some effortless camaraderie.
