‘RHOBH’ Finale Disappoints Fans After ‘Boring’ Season
Rumors about Season 10 of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills began back in December of 2019. At the time, fans were slamming the show as ‘boring’ before it even hit the air. They didn’t think the show would be interesting without Lisa Vanderpump.
As fans recall, Lisa left after Season 9 when her co-stars ganged up on her over ‘Puppygate.’ Allegations that Lisa leaked a story about Dorit Kemsley cost Lisa her friendship with both Dorit and Kyle Richards.
Bravo host Andy Cohen denied that Season 10 was ‘boring,’ Reality Blurb reported in December. Shortly afterward, rumors began circulating of an affair between Denise Richards and Brandi Glanville. A coincidence? Fans don’t think so. They also think Season 10 was a huge letdown, including this week’s finale. Better luck at the reunion, Bravoholics!
Fans SLAM RHOBH For ‘Boring’ Season
With the rumors of a showdown between Brandi and Denise over the affair allegations, viewers had high hopes for RHOBH. Then Dorit, Kyle Richards and Erika Jayne assured fans that more drama went down. In fact, they implied that Denise Richards did something to them that was unforgivable.
The affair drama didn’t play out until the second half of the season. The first half of the season was spent debating whether Denise mom-shamed the other ladies or not. As episode after episode dragged it out, fans got fed up.
However, once Brandi showed up with the affair allegations, ratings went through the roof. In addition to an affair, Brandi alleged that Denise badmouthed her co-stars. So, the other women were not happy with Denise about that.
Fans felt the RHOBH cast’s frustration over Denise constantly walking out of events when confronted about the badmouthing. Brandi Glanville showed up unannounced at two of the events to confront Denise about the alleged affair. However, Denise skipped both events.
While fans were riveted by the final confrontation between Denise and her former friend, Lisa Rinna, it didn’t save the season.
Many fans took to social media during and after the show to express their disappointment in Season 10. One fan called out the Brandi drama as “staged” due to poor ratings and the ‘boring’ pre-season rumor.
Listen here, this whole Brandi & Denise bullshit is so staged. #RHOBH ratings were in the shitter and the show was named “boring” so of course this “happened” 🙄 #bravotv #RHOBH

Another fan wrote that Season 10 ‘sucked.’
Idk if it was the producers or what , but this season sucked. It was so overproduced and drawn out, it was boring. It’s time to recast, we tired of the mean girls #RHOBH #BravoTV #andycohen

Did the Producers Create the Drama Surrounding Denise?
Viewers knew something was up during the Season 10 premiere when the producers broke the fourth wall. Most reality shows do their best to pretend the cameras aren’t filming and the ‘scenes’ are happening organically.
This really was #rhobh’s dumbest fabricated storyline yet. They’ve had some really dumb unwatchable stuff but this one wins! pic.twitter.com/uR2M6Zjkdh

In fact, that’s why Denise Richards kept saying, “Bravo, Bravo, Bravo” when she didn’t want the footage aired. She was under the mistaken belief that saying those words would render the footage unusable. But Bravo went ahead and used it anyway.
In the Season 10 premiere, producers told fans straight out that Denise “stopped filming” toward the end of the season.
During the Rome trip, a producer even appeared on-screen, urging Denise to return to the dinner table after she stormed off. In the Season 10 finale, a producer eggs Garcelle Beauvais on about Denise ghosting her for the finale party.
Why is production breaking the 4th wall and expressing their opinion on Denise? The blatant bias is a mess. Stop trying to manufacture shit and folks would show up to these events. #RHOBH pic.twitter.com/SMolnhcD1C

Denise later revealed that she skipped the party after finding out – via Brandi – that Brandi would be attending the party. Several fans called out Kyle Richards as taking part in the ambush of Denise. Brandi was, after all, Kim Richards’ plus-one.
“Denise thinks Brandi is coming. Is Brandi coming”

Denise ‘Walks Off’ RHOBH Virtual Reunion
Ahead of the Season 10 finale, Bravo dropped the RHOBH reunion trailer. The reunion was held virtually earlier this month due to the coronavirus pandemic. Early reports from the reunion said that Denise took the brunt of drama from the other ladies.
From what the trailer teases, this seems to be an accurate assessment. After a tense confrontation with Lisa Rinna that leaves Denise crying, she walks off camera.

The Season 10 reunion starts on Wednesday, September 2. It will be three-parts, plus a separate interview with Brandi Glanville.
