‘Bachelorette’ Ali Fedotowsky-Manno Shares Her Rainbow Following Miscarriage
Former Bachelorette Ali Fedotowsky-Manno is opening up to fans once again. Last month, Ali shared she suffered a miscarriage. It would have been her third child. She grieved and is trying to move forward. The post and feelings she shared today are for all those who have lost a pregnancy.
Ali shares heartfelt post in honor of miscarriage awareness
She shared her post today on social media in honor of National Rainbow Baby Day. Ali went to Instagram to share a beautiful photo. The picture is of daughter Molly and her son holding hands and walking. They are walking towards a balloon that looks like a rainbow.
Ali said, “I truly believe EVERYTHING happens for a reason. Molly wanted a rainbow birthday party. She asked for it out of the blue, so I went with it thinking about all the adorable pics we’d get with this cute theme.”
She continued, “Last month, when I told you guys about my miscarriage, one of you (thank you Cheryl) said “Let yourself grieve and know there will be a rainbow. The rainbow could be a smile, a hug, or a kind gesture”. Molly’s birthday was just days before I had my miscarriage. This was my rainbow 🌈 Sending so much love to all of you who have experienced loss. #nationalrainbowbabyday #miscarriage #miscarriageawareness #loss”

She didn’t immediately feel like she deserved support following loss
Earlier this month, Ali opened up to People about her miscarriage. She said she thinks many don’t talk about miscarriages because of shame. Some women feel ashamed their bodies couldn’t carry their child at that particular moment.
For Ali it was something a little different. She said, “But for me, where the shame came was not feeling that I deserved any sort of support after — feeling that what I went through wasn’t the same as someone who goes through it when they’d been trying for years or they were 20 weeks pregnant. She continued, I have two beautiful children. So my experience didn’t begin to compare to those, so I felt shame in being supported.”
Ali continued saying, “I didn’t want people feeling sorry for me.” she went on, “It’s too personal almost. But I know that what happened was very emotional for me and it was difficult to go through.”
And, she admits the reasons she didn’t want to share the news remains why she had to. While she didn’t share specific details, Ali says she sees those around her who have suffered loss. She wanted fans to know she’s there for them.
She has not said if she will try for another child or not just yet.
