‘Lucifer’s’ Tom Ellis Expresses Pain Of Not Seeing Daughters Due To Covid-19
Like many people, the coronavirus has disrupted their lives and kept families apart. For Lucifer’s Tom Ellis, this means he has not seen his three daughters in several months. The British-born actor lives in Los Angeles, while all three live across the pond.
Coronavirus Quarantine Has Kept Tom Ellis Separated From His Daughters
It has been a crazy five months since the coronavirus pandemic. Lucifer was in the midst of finishing up the final episode of Season 5 when they had to halt production. This was for the safety of the cast and crew. Then, everyone went into Covid-19 quarantine.
Unfortunately, this meant that Tom Ellis has not seen his three daughters. He recently told Da Man that he had been “holed up in L.A.”with his wife, screenwriter Meaghan Oppenheimer. But he added, “Sadly, lockdown has meant I haven’t been able to see my children—who live in the U.K.—for several months. That has been the hardest part of all this for me.”
Who are Tom’s children? They are Nora, 15, from his relationship with Estelle Morgan. Also, Florence, 12, and Marnie, eight, his two daughters that he had with ex-wife Tamzin Outhwaite.

Tom Ellis Expresses Pain At Not Seeing Daughters
Tom Ellis was asked about why he loves being a father. He admitted that this was a “tough question.” But, he was able to articulate how important his three girls are.
“When I don’t see my kids there’s a gaping hole in me that can’t be filled by anything else.”
What Ellis misses most now is holding his three girls. Fatherhood is a huge part of who he as a person. His wife Meaghan shared how Tom shows his kindness,
On Father’s Day, his wife Meaghan Oppenheimer wrote a tribute to her husband, Tom Ellis, the father. “to the best dad I know. I love you. I love our modern family. thank you for loving us the way you do and showing me that the strongest men are the kindest ones. ❤️”

Why Couldn’t His Daughters See Him?
Fans may assume that celebrities and actors may have other options, but Ellis did not explain the circumstances for the long estrangement. It is possible that as a British citizen, Tom Ellis may have had issues returning to the States, during this difficult time of the coronavirus, if he had flown to see his daughters in England. As the girls are unlikely dual-American citizens, they could not visit their father in the states.
Then, you can add the fact that there are not many flights flying over the pond. And then, there is the obvious safety issue. Both England and the United States are still dealing with serious phase one Covid-19 problems. Their curves have not flattened out. No one knows when this will all change.
Tom Ellis Is Back As Lucifer
Netflix drops Lucifer Season 5 Part 1 drops on Friday. Lucifer Season 5 Part 2 still has some filming left on that last episode. In addition, there will be production.
Lucifer Season 6 should start filming sometime in the fall, although Tom Ellis has shared that it will happen once they can guarantee everyone is able to work safely.
