‘Supernatural’ Is Ending, What Will Jensen Ackles Do Next?
Supernatural fans were heartbroken after learning the show’s 15th Season would be its last. Cast and crew originally planned for the finale to air in May, but the Coronavirus pandemic altered the timeline. Instead, fans can watch the rest of Season 15 on October 8. But, after 15 years of filming, where will the Supernatural stars go next?
Jared Padalecki announced he will produce and star in a new Walker, Texas Ranger. Meanwhile, Jensen Ackles plans to join the cast of The Boys on Amazon Prime Video. He recently broke the news to his fans in an adorable Instagram video.
Fans Wish Jensen Ackles Well on His New Adventure
“I keep wondering what I’ll do….when @cw_supernatural finally ends this year. Then it hit me.
*volume ⬆️” Jensen Ackles wrote. Well-wishes from fans quickly poured in, along with one from his Supernatural co-star, Jared Padalecki.
“Couldn’t be happier for my brother from another mother!! Thrilled you’re gonna keep kicking ass and takin names. They’re lucky to have ya. 😁” Jared wrote.

In a World Where the Heroes Aren’t Who They Seem…
If you aren’t familiar with The Boys yet, buckle up. It’s quite a wild ride. The Wikipedia synopsis reads:
“The Boys is set in a universe where superpowered individuals are recognized as heroes by the general public and owned by powerful corporation Vought International, which markets and monetizes them. Outside of their heroic personas, most are arrogant and corrupt. The series primarily focuses on two groups: the Seven, Vought International’s premier superhero team, and the titular Boys, vigilantes looking to keep the corrupted heroes under control.”

The Boys Season 2 isn’t even out until September 4, but it’s doing so well that it’s been renewed for Season 3 already. That’s when Jensen Ackles will make his debut.
Eric Kripke, Supernatural creator and showrunner for The Boys, is excited to bring Jensen aboard.
“When I was a child, I had a crazy, impossible dream — to provide Jensen Ackles with gainful employment. I’m happy to say that dream has come true. Jensen is an amazing actor, an even better person, smells like warm chocolate chip cookies, and I consider him a brother. As Soldier Boy, the very first Superhero, he’ll bring so much humor, pathos, and danger to the role. I can’t wait to be on set with him again, and bring a bit of Supernatural to The Boys,” Kripke said.
According to Comic Book, Jensen Ackles’s onscreen Supernatural father, Jeffrey Dean Morgan, is also expected to have a Season 3 role in The Boys.
Anyone familiar with The Boys knows the superheroes are not the good guys. This could be a great opportunity to see Jensen Ackles play an even darker, more disturbed character than Dean Winchester.
Are you excited about this? Let us know in the comments below. If you haven’t seen The Boys yet, we suggest logging on to Amazon Prime Video and seeing it for yourself. Don’t forget to catch Season 2 when it drops on September 4!
