’90 Day Fiancé’ Star Deavan’s Mom Opens Up As To Why Jihoon Deleted His Social Media
90 Day Fiancé: The Other Way star Jihoon Lee, 29, recently cleaned out his Instagram account. In the meanwhile, rumors are flying that he and Deavan, 23, could split. To put things straight, Deavan Clegg’s mother, Elicia decides to speak up. She wants to explain why Jihoon did this while they fight over money on the TLC reality spinoff.

While Jihoon’s Instagram account is still open, it is currently echoing, with all posts removed. Due to the rumors of Deavan and Jihoon splitting, Elicia decided to clear the mystery up. She opens up on behalf of her daughter Deavan and son-in-law Jihoon. Elicia explains her daughter has had many messages of concern from fans. Elicia says Deavan couldn’t possibly answer them all.
Deavan’s mother goes on to reassure fans, saying there is “nothing to worry about.” She says as fans know, reality TV is a “very difficult thing to do.” Elicia continues, saying there is a constant “barrage of both love, and of extreme hate.” Many people on social media can attest to this fact, with the “keyboard warriors” of this world.

Reality TV and social media get ‘overwhelming’
Elicia says that behind the scenes on 90 Day Fiancé, things do get overwhelming. This is where people seek out ways to get hold of you. Moreover, they let you know just how much they hate you. She continues by saying people working in reality TV have told Deavan and Jihoon to “step back.” They should “take a break” from social media should the trolling or hate become too much to bear. This is the reason why Jihoon wrote a cryptic “I’m done” on his Instagram Stories. This was shortly before he deleted all of the content.
Elicia goes on to explain they were literally in Korea for 48 hours. With the amount of pressure on them at this time, it is best for Jihoon to just “step back from the Internet.” Elicia does believe he took things too far by deleting all his posts and sending the cryptic “I’m done” message. However, she explains that “sometimes, life is full of pressure.”

90 Day Fiancé: The Other Way stars are ‘isolated’
Deavan’s mom says on top of all that, the couple is “isolated.” Like most people, they are feeling the strain of the coronavirus quarantine. However, Elicia assures fans that everything is OK. She stresses that nothing bad has happened to Deavan and Jihoon and their family. She did note that her daughter is there for a legitimate reason, which will come clear in an upcoming episode. Elicia says at that time, all will make sense.
Fans will remember the July 27 episode of 90 Day Fiancé: The Other Way, where Deavan threatens to return to America with the children. As noted by In Touch, this was due to Jihoon’s constant lies about his finances. Deavan is rightfully concerned that he might not be able to provide for their family.
